摘要: In a high frequency switch, first and second diodes are respectively connected between first and second ports and between first and third ports so that they are directed in the same direction with respect to the first port. Coupling capacitors are connected on both sides of the respective diodes. Distributed constant lines and capacitors are connected between points of connection between the respective diodes and the corresponding capacitors, and reference potentials. Control voltage terminals are connected to points of connection between the distributed constant lines and the capacitors. A distributed constant line and a capacitor are connected between the first port and a reference potential. A fixed voltage terminal is connected through a resistor to a point of connection between the distributed constant line and the capacitor.

摘要: An AC signal is switched between two circuit branches using a transformer or at least one directional coupler as a coupling device. Electronically controlled switches shunt one of two terminals of the coupling device to AC ground. The input signal is propagated out of the non-shunted terminal to one of the two circuit branches. The electronically controlled switches may be relays, transistors, or diodes. Diodes prevent the AC signal from being shunted to AC ground when reverse biased and shunt the AC signal to AC ground when forward biased.

摘要: A high frequency switching component for being connected to a transmission circuit, a reception circuit, and an antenna to be used for switching to either a state in which the transmission circuit is connected to the antenna, or a state in which the reception circuit is connected to the antenna, comprising: a multilayer circuit board, on which there is formed a circuit including: a transmission circuit terminal to be connected to the transmission circuit; a reception circuit terminal to be connected to the reception circuit; an antenna terminal to be connected to be the antenna; a ground terminal; a first diode whose anode is connected to the transmission circuit terminal and the cathode thereof is connected to the antenna terminal; a second diode whose anode is connected to the reception circuit terminal and the cathode thereof is connected to the ground terminal; a signal line for connecting the transmission circuit terminal, the reception circuit terminal, and the antenna terminal via the first diode; and an inductor or an LC filter disposed between the signal line and the ground terminal to reduce noise on the signal line; in which the transmission circuit terminal, the reception circuit terminal, the antenna terminal, the ground terminal, the first diode, and the second diode are disposed on a surface of the multilayer circuit board; at least a part of the signal line being disposed inside the multilayer circuit board; and the inductor being disposed either inside or on the surface of the multilayer circuit board.

摘要: A high power PIN diode single pole double throw (SPDT) switch for use in radar systems transmitting at over 50 watts of power. These systems require a switch that will provide adequate isolation for the sensitive amplifier circuits in the receiver subsystem of the radar from the high power transmit pulses in the event there is a bias failure such that the PIN diodes are at zero bias. By utilizing one single pole single throw (SPST) switch assembly between the transmitter and the antenna and at least two SPST switch assemblies between the antenna and the receiver, this isolation is achieved.

摘要: A method and apparatus are disclosed for isolating a selected switching connection, within a switch matrix. The switching connection is isolated by forming two shunt stubs, or equivalent lumped circuits, each having an electrical length such that the input impedance of the shunt stub is high. The shunt stubs are formed on the appropriate input and output signal lines of the switch matrix on the side distant from the side of the input and output lines preferred for the propagation of the signal. The switch matrix may be constructed within and on a glass substrate.

The above high-frequency switch can be miniaturized and has superior performance.

摘要: A PIN diode switch reduces energy loss and stray capacitance by providing first and second series connected PIN diodes between first and second biasing sources. A third biasing source is coupled to the common node between the two PIN diodes via a first resistive element. A second resistive element is coupled between the PIN diodes and the second biasing source. An electronic switch couples a negative voltage source via a current generating means to bias the PIN diodes to a conductive ON state. AC current is coupled to ground in the ON state via a dual path circuit that includes one of the PIN diodes and a low loss capacitive element connected to the PIN diode and second resistive element node in one path and the other PIN diode and the biasing source to ground in the other path. In the OFF state the biasing sources provide reverse bias voltages for minimizing the reverse capacitance of the PIN diodes and are connected in a way that minimizes stray capacitance that is connected to the switched element. The resistance of the parallel-connected resistive elements are large enough to minimize energy loss though the biasing sources in the OFF state.
