摘要： A reel table driving apparatus for a tape cassette recorder includes a main plate, a reel table having a reel disk rotatably installed on the main plate, a driving gear coaxially combined with the reel disk, for transmitting a driving force, and a friction gear having a larger diameter than that of the driving gear, for transmitting the driving force to the reel disk by a frictional engagement with the driving gear. The apparatus further includes a first intermediate gear selectively engaged with the friction gear, a second intermediate gear which is engaged with the driving gear, elevating means for elevating the first intermediate gear to be engaged with the friction gear in a low-speed, mode and separated from the friction gear in a high-speed mode, and an idler mechanism having a first idler gear corresponding to the first intermediate gear and a second idler gear corresponding to the second intermediate gear, coaxially installed with the first idler gear and having a larger diameter than that of the first idler gear, such that the first idler gear is engaged with the first intermediate gear in the low-speed mode and the second idler gear is engaged with the second intermediate gear in the high-speed mode.

摘要： A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus compares speed information obtained by speed detecting means for a magnetic tape with a set travelling speed of the magnetic tape in a control circuit, and controls the rotational frequency of a driving motor for a take-up reel, thereby controlling constant-speed travelling of the magnetic tape, with employment of no capstan. According to this system, the overall apparatus can be simplified and miniaturized with reduction in weight and cost. Further, it is possible to improve constant-speed travelling performance of the magnetic tape by adjusting resonance and antiresonance appearing due to total equivalent inertia moment related to the magnetic tape and reels in the transfer characteristic of the control system.

摘要： A jog device for magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus. The jog device temporarily rotates a clutch gear of the tape supply reel clutch during a mode conversion from a normal-direction reproducing mode into a reverse-direction reproducing mode. The jog device includes a clutch gear rotating unit, a rotating unit drive member, and a returning unit. The rotating unit includes a jog lever and a gear lever cooperating with the jog lever and selectively rotating the clutch gear. The drive member is a cam gear having a pinion gear gearing into and cooperating with a rack gear of a mode conversion function plate. The cam gear has a cam slot cooperating with a cam pin of the rotating unit. The returning unit includes a coiled torsion spring fitted over a shaft of the rotating unit and a pair of spring arm stoppers.

摘要： A switch assembly that can vary at least two controllable parameters and can vary the upper, lower and any intermediary limits of the switch assembly. The switch assembly has a pair of nested coaxial rotary knobs each attached by shafts to sensors that determine the radial position of a reference point on each knob. The knobs rotate with respect to each other and are constructed to allow rotation of the knobs with one hand. The sensors are attached to the controls of the parameters, such that rotation of the knobs varies the output of the parameters. The sensors are coupled to a magnetic clutch that engages and prevents rotation of one of the knobs, when the knob is rotated into a predetermined radial position. A computer can be connected to the magnetic clutch and sensors. The computer receives input signals from the sensors and produces an output signal to the clutch, to engage the clutch and prevent rotation of the knob in accordance with a computer program.

摘要： A capstan driven web system having a take-up reel and a supply reel, the tape being drawn from the supply reel by a tape driven capstan arrangement. The drawn tape is collected on the take-up reel which is mechanically coupled to the supply reel by a mechanism having variable transfer ratio. In one embodiment, the variable ratio transport system is formed of a belt drive system having variable diameter pulleys coupled to each of the tape reels. The transfer ratio of the variable diameter pulley system is controlled by a servo mechanism which selects an appropriate transfer ratio in response to the position of a servo arm which senses the tension of the tape.
