摘要: A rectangle creating unit creates a rectangle circumscribing a lesion area in a medical image. A division-number-ratio calculating unit calculates a division-number ratio based on an image aspect ratio of an input image to be input to a device that identifies a lesion and on a rectangle aspect ratio between the length in the vertical direction of and the length in the horizontal direction of the rectangle. A multiplying-factor calculating unit calculates, based on the division-number ratio, a resizing multiplying-factor for each of the vertical direction and the horizontal direction of a rectangular image encircled by the rectangle and including the lesion area. A resizing unit resizes the rectangular image with the resizing multiplying-factor. A dividing unit divides the resized rectangular image into one or more images in such a manner that the size of each divided image matches the size of the input image.

摘要: A material data collection system allows capturing of material data. For example, the material data collection system may include digital image data for materials. The material data collection system may ensure that captured digital image data is properly aligned, so that material data may be easily recalled for later use, while maintaining the proper alignment for the captured digital image. The material data collection system may include using a capture guide, to provide cues on how to orient a mobile device used with the material data collection system.

摘要: A first discrete Fourier transform unit generates a first frequency spectrum by two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform of an input image signal. A second discrete Fourier transform unit generates a second frequency spectrum by two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform of an output image signal output from a high frequency emphasis circuit. A first and second high frequency component index generators generate a first and second high frequency component indices indicating a total amount of high frequency components based on the first and second frequency spectra, respectively. A high frequency component emphasis ratio calculator calculates a high frequency component emphasis ratio which is a ratio between a first high frequency component index and a second high frequency component index. An emphasis amount controller generates an emphasis amount control value based on a high frequency component emphasis ratio and a target emphasis ratio, and supplies it to the high frequency emphasis circuit.

摘要: An image forming system for constructing a whole large image of an object is provided. The image forming system includes an interface configured to sequentially acquire images of partial areas of the object obtained by a camera, wherein two adjacent images of the partial areas include overlap portions, wherein the sequential images correspond to a three dimensional (3D) surface of the object, wherein the geometrical information (geometrical parameters) of the object is provided, wherein an initial pose of the camera is provided. The system further includes a memory to store computer-executable programs including a pose estimation method and a stitching method, and an image stitching processor configured to perform steps of estimating camera poses with respect to the sequential images by the robust camera pose estimation method which imposes low-rankness and joint sparsity of relative pose matrices, projecting the sequential images into a 3D surface based on the camera pose estimations, and constructing a two-dimensional (2D) image of the object by interpolating projected surface images; outputting the constructed 2D image via the interface.

摘要: In a laser cataract procedure that also corrects for astigmatism, an iris registration method compares an iris image of a patient's eye taken when the eye is not docked to a patient interface device with an iris image of the same eye that is docked to the patient interface, to calculate a rotation angle between the two images. The astigmatism axis of the eye is measured when the eye is not docked, and the measured axis is rotated by the calculated rotation angle to obtain a rotated astigmatism axis relative to the iris image of the docked eye. The laser cataract procedure is performed based on the rotated astigmatism axis. The rotation angle is calculated by optimizing a transformation that transforms the undocked iris image to match the docked iris image, where the transformation includes a dilation factor that accounts for different pupil dilation of the two iris images.
