摘要: An aspect of the invention is directed to a system of both atmospheric and underwater sensors for measuring pressure waves from a noise source. A system of pressure sensors can be formed to determine the location of an external noise source, whether in air or underwater. The system includes at least two arrays consisting of pressure sensors, including at least one atmospheric pressure sensor and at least one underwater pressure sensor, such as a hydrophone. Each sensor may be a seven-fiber intensity modulated fiber optic pressure sensor. The system includes an analog to digital converter for digitizing the pressure data received from each sensor and a processor which processes the received signals to calculate an approximate location of the noise source based upon the pressure signals received by the sensors at different times of arrival. The system can provide this capability in remote applications due to its low power requirements.

摘要: A method and apparatus for determining a direction of infrasound. Infrasound is received by a directional infrasound sensor comprising a plurality of channels and a plurality of sensor devices. Each channel in the plurality of channels comprises a single opening at a first end of the channel and a closed end opposite the opening. The opening of each channel in the plurality of channels is pointed in a different direction from the opening of each other channel in the plurality of channels. The plurality of sensor devices includes a sensor device at the closed end of each channel in the plurality of channels. Each sensor device in the plurality of sensor devices is configured to generate a sensor signal in response to pressure. The sensor signals generated by the plurality of sensor devices are processed to determine the direction of the infrasound received by the directional infrasound sensor.

摘要: An ultrasonic measurement device includes an ultrasonic transceiver transmitting an ultrasonic wave and receiving a reflected wave from a target so as to output a reception signal, a scanner moving a transmission/reception position where the ultrasonic transceiver transmits and receives the ultrasonic wave along a first direction, and a position measurer measuring a position of the target. When the position measurer detects a plurality of reception signals corresponding to a plurality of reflection components caused by a difference in distances from the target at a first transmission/reception position in the first direction, the position measurer selects the reception signal based on a ratio between a voltage of the reception signals at a comparison transmission/reception position different from the first transmission/reception position and a voltage of the reception signals at the first transmission/reception position, and measures the position of the target based on the selected reception signal.
