    Abstract: Provided are embodiments for determining solenoid plunger position by performing a method which includes generating, by a first signal circuit, a first signal based at least in part on a pull-in current value of a current applied to a solenoid coil of a solenoid. The method further includes generating, by a second signal circuit, a second signal by applying a time delay to the first signal. The method further includes comparing, by a comparator circuit, the first signal and the second signal to determine whether a plunger of the solenoid has moved within the solenoid from a first position to a second position. The method further includes, responsive to determining that the plunger of the solenoid has moved within the solenoid from the first position to the second position, reducing the current applied to the solenoid coil of the solenoid from the pull-in current value to a hold current value.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for calculating winding currents at a delta side for a transformer. The transformer has two or more windings, with a first winding being a delta connected winding. The method includes obtaining line currents measured with measurement equipment associated with lines connected with the windings. The method further includes calculating zero sequence currents for at least a second winding, from the line currents of a corresponding line. The method further includes calculating zero sequence currents for the first winding, based on the zero sequence currents for at least the second winding, a phase displacement between the windings, and a turns ratio associated with the windings. The winding currents is calculated from the zero sequence currents of the first winding, and the line currents of a corresponding line.

At least one of a zero cross point at which the response voltage intersects with a reference voltage and a peak voltage on a positive side and a negative side of the response voltage is used as the determination index, in addition to a circuit constant of the coil.

    Abstract: A current sensing method measures a fractional current through a coil having a plurality of coil windings by using a current sensing resistor to measure a current through a subset of the plurality of coil windings and using a voltage sensor to measure a voltage drop across the current sensing resistor. The measured current and voltage values are provided to a processor to determine the fractional current and phase of the coil. For example, the fractional current and phase of the coil may be determined by calculating a total current of the coil as I=n(V/Rx), where n is the number of coil windings of the coil, V is the measured voltage, and Rx is the impedance of the current sensing resistor. The coil may be a secondary winding used in a wireless power transfer system.
