摘要: A heat exchanger tube in a heat exchanger for an ice making machine includes a bimetallic heat exchanger tube to improve capacity and wear characteristics of the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger tube has an outer portion with a first material composition and an inner portion with a second material composition where the first material composition is different from the second material composition. The first material composition is compatible with the refrigerants used in the heat exchanger unit of the ice making machine. The second material composition is compatible with the feed solution being chilled in the heat exchanger tube.

摘要: A detection device for detecting rotational abnormalities of an auger is formed within an ice making cylinder. The rotational abnormality detection device has a detecting portion made from a substrate mounted with two hall ICs, and a detection object portion made from a magnet. The detection object portion is embedded in a main body portion of the auger. Further, the detecting portion is formed so as to protrude from an inner surface of the ice making cylinder, and is placed such that the magnetic force from the detection object portion can be detected.

The automatic self-cleaning feature interacts with the control system and an array of inputs to clean a water reservoir and a freezing cylinder within the ice making machine and to rid the machine of mineral deposits.

Potential damage to the machine that might result from abnormal loading of the motor that drive the auger is prevented by monitoring the motor current and turning off the motor and compressor before abnormal loading can cause damage. False ice bin not full interpretations are avoided by setting the threshold of a light detector that senses whether the ice bin is full or not full to slightly less than the voltage developed by the light detector when subjected to ambient light only.

摘要: A split ice making and delivery system which includes a condenser and compressor sub-assembly which compresses and condenses refrigerant and a compact remote ice making sub-assembly. The remote ice making assembly may be integrated with an ice storage bin. The system further includes a refrigerant delivery sub-assembly coupled to the condenser and compressor sub-assembly and the remote ice making sub-assembly for delivering therebetween the refrigerant. The refrigerant delivery sub-assembly has a length sufficient to reach a upper level of a marine vessel, a remote room, or remote location to reach the remote ice making sub-assembly remote from the condenser and compressor sub-assembly.

摘要: An auger type ice-making machine of the present invention comprises a tubular freezer casing which has an ice-making cylinder that rotatably accommodates an auger inside, an ice compression head which rotatably supports the upper end of the auger, a housing which rotatably supports the lower end of the auger, and a geared motor which is connected to the lower part of the housing. The geared motor drives the auger rotationally. And the auger type ice-making machine of the present invention further comprises a flange which constitutes an attachment base for the ice discharge tube attached to the upper part of the freezer casing. The flange is fastened to the ice-making cylinder by means of bolts that also fasten the ice compression head to the inside of the ice-making cylinder.
