摘要: Feeding device for a geometrically closed lightguide (1) of the signal lamps of motor vehicles placed on both sides of the vehicle comprising a light feeder (4) and a geometrically closed lightguide (1). The two parts are joined and form a single plastic molding. A prism-shaped cavity (9) with total internal light reflection for a uniform light distribution at both sides of the enclosed lightguide (1) is formed at the site of their joint. A semi-transparent insert (16) is inserted in the prism-shaped cavity (9), made of material with a precise ratio of transparent and cloudy components to control the amount of unwanted light arising on the planar surfaces (10;11) of the prism-shaped cavity (9) with total internal light reflection.

摘要: A vehicle headlamp can include a daytime running lamp with favorable light distribution characteristics. The vehicle headlamp can also include a headlight such as a low beam/high beam, a fog lamp, and the like. The vehicle headlamp can include a parabolic type reflector, a halogen bulb, and a driving circuit. The halogen bulb can include a first filament, a second filament and a shield member if necessary or desired. The first filament can be used as the above headlight, and the second filament adjacent the first filament can be used as the daytime running lamp. Because the second filament can be located at a closer position than the first filament with respect to the reflector, light emitted from the second filament can form a wider light distribution than that of the first filament. Therefore, the vehicle headlamp can provide a daytime running lamp with a favorable light distribution pattern along with the above headlight.

The primary light source unit 14 includes a primary reflector 34 and an upwardly oriented reflecting surface 36a which extends rearwards from the rear focal point F of the projection lens 12. The secondary light source unit 16 includes a secondary reflector 44 that reflects light upwards so as to be caused to substantially converge on a location lying near the rear focal point F on a downwardly oriented reflecting surface 46a, which extends obliquely downwards from a front end edge of the upwardly oriented reflecting surface 36a towards a rear of the lamp.

摘要: A car light is equipped with a supplementary light for helping alert people to the car, which supplementary light includes several light sources, plane lenses, and a circular lighting body; the light sources are secured on a rear cover of the car light; the plane lenses are disposed over the light sources; the circular lighting body is fitted on a circular trench formed around the car light, and has spaced condensing bumps on an outer side thereof; the plane lenses face respective ones of light passages formed on the trench; when the light sources are powered, light will be first made to travel through the light passages, and onto the circular lighting body by means of the plane lenses, and the circular lighting body will refract the light so as to shine with a complete circle-shaped light thereon.

摘要: A vehicle headlamp having a projector-type lamp unit that enhances a luminous intensity of a hot zone at the time of high beam irradiation is described. A first additional reflector is provided obliquely left-upward of an optical axis Ax, and a second additional reflector is provided obliquely right-downward of the optical axis Ax, between a reflector and a projection lens. An additional light distribution pattern is formed in a center area of a high beam distribution pattern by reflecting direct light, which has entered the first additional reflector from a light source, obliquely right-downward and then forward by the second additional reflector, at the time of high beam irradiation. A reflective surface of the first additional reflector is formed like an ellipsoid spherical surface having the second focus on the right side with respect to the optical axis A (the second reflector side). This makes the additional light distribution pattern into a pattern with a narrow vertical width, and enhances a luminosity of the hot zone without making a short distance area of a road surface at the front of the vehicle excessively luminous.

摘要: An LED lamp assembly comprises a housing having a multi-faceted reflector positioned therein for reflecting light into a light beam. A LED carrier is positioned in front of the reflector and extends vertically from the top to the bottom of the reflector. A plurality of LEDs are positioned on the LED carrier and arranged and disposed to emit light directly on to the reflector, thereby creating the light beam. A light pipe is also positioned within the housing in front of the reflector and in front of the LED carrier. The light pipe extends vertically along the LED carrier from the top to the bottom of the reflector. Accordingly, the LED carrier and light pipe are positioned in the path of the light beam propagated from the reflector.

摘要: As the annular translucent member, an annular lens formed from a peripheral edge portion of a convex-meniscus lens is disposed between a projection lens and a reflector along an outer peripheral edge of the projection lens. Direct light from a light source toward a space beyond the outer periphery of the projection lens is caused to illuminate forward of the lamp by the annular lens, thereby effectively utilizing light source luminous flux. In relation to the above, a shape of a back surface of the annular lens is formed into a spherical surface having its center at a luminescence center of the light source. Accordingly, direct light from the light source can travel straight without being deflected by a back surface of the annular lens, whereby a light deflection angle on a front surface of the annular lens can be calculated easily and with good accuracy.
