摘要： A multiple pressure direct acting relief valve is disclosed. The multiple pressure relief valve comprises an actuating cylinder, a relief valve and an adjustment screw interconnecting the actuating cylinder and the relief valve. The relief valve includes a low pressure spring which biases a poppet valve arrangement permitting the poppet valve arrangement to be actuatable at a first pre-determined pressure. The actuating cylinder includes a piston that is biased by a high pressure spring causing an additional compressive force to be applied to the poppet valve arrangement through an actuating rod received through the adjustment screw. When pressure is applied to the piston within the actuating cylinder, an additional compressive force is applied by the high pressure spring and the actuator rod to the poppet valve arrangement causing the poppet valve arrangement to be actuatable at a second pre-determined pressure. Lock nuts are provided on the adjustment screw that interconnects the actuating cylinder and the relief valve. When the lock nuts are disengaged, the position of the adjustment screw can be moved relative to the actuating cylinder and the relief valve permitting the adjustment of both pre-determined actuating pressures for the poppet valve arrangement.

A pivotable vane disposed within the body is urged to pivot from a first state not restricting fluid flow to a second state restricting fluid flow in response to the force of the fluid flow. Retaining the handle in a position commensurate with the first state of the vane will permit fluid flow through the safety valve, which fluid flow will become limited upon release of the handle due to a change in state of the vane.

摘要： A fluid leakage monitoring system that uses a main flowmeter attached to a main water pipe to measure a flow rate in the main pipe, and secondary flowmeters attached to branch pipes on the downstream side of the main pipe to measure flow rates in each of the branch pipes. The difference between the main pipe flow rate and the branch pipe flow rates is used to determine a fluid leakage flow rate. If the fluid leakage flow rate exceeds a predetermined first flow rate, a shut-off valve on the main pipe is closed. If the fluid leakage flow rate is less than a predetermined second flow rate, operating a valve release switch by a faucet allows the shut-off valve to be opened for just a specified time. This makes it possible to limit damage caused by a leak from a water pipe, while at the same time ensuring that the minimum amount of water required can be supplied.

The valve has a tubular body with a plurality of radially inwardly extending vanes or ribs in the inlet end about a portion of the circumference. The ribs are tapered in the flow direction to deflect the end of a siphoning hose to an offset opening. A valve seat and poppet with a tapered surface are disposed downstream of the ribs, clearance apertures are formed in the side of the tubular body downstream of the valve seat. The tapered surface of the poppet, upon being opened by insertion of the end of a siphoning hose deflects the hose outwardly through the clearance apertures to facilitate further insertion into the tank. The poppet is biased normally closed by a spring.

摘要： A repairable pressure relief valve having a valve body that forms an internal fluted surface provides improved field repairability. The internal, fluted surface is adapted to mate with a removal tool. A valve assembly is slidably mounted in the valve housing and slides under excess pressure to vent vapor from a vessel, such as a tank. The valve body has a first seating surface for mating with a second seating surface on the valve assembly when the valve plug is in the closed position. The relief valve has a seal for sealing an interface between the valve plug and the housing and a removable cap mounted proximate to the valve plug for mechanically supporting the seal. The cap can be removed and the seal can be replaced without extensive disassembly of the valve, thereby eliminating the requirement of re-calibration after a repair has been made.
