摘要: A differential apparatus includes a differential device, and a differential restricting portion configured to restrict a differential operation of the differential device. The differential device includes a differential case which is rotatably disposed, a differential gear which is rotatable while being supported by the differential case and revolves by rotation of the differential case, and a pair of output gears which are meshed with the differential gear and are rotatable relative to each other. The output gears include a gear member provided with a gear portion, and an output member including an output portion configured to output a driving force inputted to the output gears. A cam portion is provided between the gear member and the output member. The differential restricting portion is provided between the differential case and the output member.

摘要: A mechanical locking differential includes a driving ring in a differential housing between right and left active components. The driving ring is in line with the input bevel gear. The differential housing has a thin wall in a single, integral shell around the driving ring. Several hollow cylindrical shaft pins are used to attached the driving ring to the differential housing, with the shaft pins being driven radially relative to the transverse axis of the differential outputs in an interference fit with the housing and the driving ring. The shaft pins are held from axially backing out by two small rivets. The shaft pins preferably have a threaded inner diameter which assists in removal. The shaft pin attachment allows the bevel gear to extend closer to the transverse axis without obstruction.

摘要: A driving force distribution apparatus for a four-wheel drive vehicle includes a hydraulic clutch, a spool, and a working-oil filling member. The spool is in an electromagnetic solenoid valve disposed in a hydraulic supply mechanism. The spool is slidably held in a sleeve and has one end biased by a plunger and the other end biased by a spring disposed in a damper chamber. A working oil is filled into the damper chamber through the working-oil filling member. The working-oil filling member is provided in the sleeve of the electromagnetic solenoid valve at an upper position in a direction of gravitational force above an oil surface of the working oil stored in the hydraulic supply mechanism.

摘要: A differential mechanism having two output cam members rotatable about an axis (X--X), each cam member having a single annular frustoconical cam surface thereon of undulating form comprising pairs of mutually inclined surfaces and a plurality of cam followers having end surfaces engaging the cam surfaces of the output cam members. Relative contra rotation of the output cam members causes the cam followers to slide axially and an input member engages the followers which are slidably supported by the input member and moves the followers circumferentially relative to the output cam members. A locking means is also provided for locking the output cam members and/or the input member against relative rotation to lock up the differential mechanism.

A plurality of cam followers having end surfaces engage the cam surfaces of the output cam members, the arrangement being such that relative contra rotation of the output cam members causes the cam followers to slide axially. At least two different types of cam followers are provided and the number of followers is an integer multiple of the number of pairs of inclined surfaces. An input member slidably supports the followers and moves the followers circumferentially relative to the output cam members. Arrangements are also disclosed for pumping oil into the differential and for locking up the differential.

摘要: The differential comprises a drive input element, two output cam members each rotatable about a common axis, each cam member having a single angular cam surface thereon of undulating form arranged such that the cam surfaces on the cam members converge towards each other and a plurality of cam followers. The followers have cam engaging end surfaces for imparting drive from the input element to the output cam members. Relative contro-rotation of the output cam members causes the cam followers to slide axially. The cam followers are elongate in direction of the common axis and are slidably supported throughout virtually their entire length by the drive input element. The followers may be arranged closely adjacent each other to provide a degree of mutual support.
