Abstract: A helical jumper connector includes a helical support member configured to support a wire. The helical support member includes a first leg having a first helical winding and a second leg having a second helical winding that defines a second axial opening. The first axial opening and the second axial opening are coaxial with the wire when the first helical winding and the second helical winding are wrapped around the wire and cooperatively engage with one another to support the wire. A jumper casting is configured to receive the helical support member. The helical support member and the jumper casting are electrically conductive such that the helical jumper connector forms an electrically conductive pathway to carry electrical current from the wire. A method of making a helical jumper connector assembly includes applying a compression force to a helical jumper connector comprising a helical support member received in a jumper casting.

Abstract: A dead end structure for supporting a cable having a core portion includes a first support portion extending between a first end and a second end. A second support portion is attached to the first end of the first support portion. A third support portion is attached to the second end of the first support portion. A first helical winding and a second helical winding engage one another such that a first axial opening and a second axial opening are axially aligned to define an axial support opening into which the core portion of the cable is received. The second support portion and the third support portion apply a radial compressive force to the core portion. A sleeve defines an axial opening. The second support portion and the third support portion are received within the axial opening of the sleeve.

Abstract: A cable clamp assembly includes a bracket and first and second fasteners. The first fastener includes a head, a threaded region, and a neck region. The second fastener includes a head, a lower threaded region, an upper threaded region, a lower neck region, and an upper neck region. The first fastener is captured in a first aperture of the bracket by location of the neck region of the first fastener in the first aperture. The second fastener is captured in a second aperture of the bracket by location of the upper neck region of the second fastener in the second aperture. The cable clamp assembly is captured to a wall by arranging the lower neck region of the second fastener to extend through a bore of the wall such that the upper and lower threaded regions of the second fastener are located on opposite sides of the wall.

Abstract: A splice joins two pushing and pulling cables. Each cable has a plurality of gripping members defining a longitudinal cavity, a bendable power line housed in the cavity and elongated tensile elements enclosed and compressed by the gripping members. The adjacent ends of the tensile elements are connected by tensile element splices. Adjacent ends of the power lines are connected by a power line splice. A plurality of splice blocks are located end to end along the longitudinal axis, and enclose and compress the tensile element splices and the tensile element. The splice blocks define a longitudinally extending chamber housing the power line and the power line splice in a relatively stress free state.
