Twisted blades for outdoor air conditioner condensers and heat pumps that improve airflow efficiency to minimize operating power requirements. The blades can run at approximately 850 rpm to produce approximately 1930 cfm of air flow using approximately 110 Watts of power from an 8-pole motor with an improved diffuser assembly. Using an OEM 6-pole null hp motor produced approximately 2610 cfm with approximately 145 Watts of power while running the blades at approximately 1100 rpm. Power savings were approximately 24% (40 to 50 Watts) over the conventional configuration with increased air flow. Embodiments of two, three, four and five blades can be equally spaced apart from one another about hubs. Additionally, a novel noise reduction configuration can include asymmetrically mounted blades such as five blades asymmetrically mounted about the hub. Additional features can include conical diffusers with or without conical center bodies were shown to further improve air moving performance by up to 21% at no increase in power. Embodiments coupled with electronically commutated motors (ECMs) showed additional reductions to condenser fan power of approximately 25%. A strip member, such as open cell foam can be applied as a liner to the interior walls of a condenser housing adjacent to the wall surface where the rotating blades sweep against. The porous edge can also be used with the trailing edge and/or tip edge of the blades. These member can both improve air flow by reducing dead air spacing between the rotating blade tips and the interior walls of the condenser housing, as well as lower undesirable noise sound emissions.

An illuminant electric fan mainly comprises a base frame, a fan blade assembly and a plurality of LED lamps, in which the fan blade of the fan blade assembly is mounted and rotates in the tunnel bracket of the base frame to achieve air convection and heat dissipation. The fan blade is made of the luminous material to affect the luminance. Around the rim of the fan tunnel is decorated with a plurality of insert holes to be filled with the LED lamps too. The LED lamps are linked in series to a PCB, which serves the power supply and control over the rotation of the electric fan blade and the lighting of the LED lamps. The light beam emitted from the LED lamp will refract and radiate to produce a wonderful vision.

The invention is comprised of a venturi tube with a very narrow throat, a compressor fan at the intake end of said venturi tube, a blower fan at the output end, a plurality of turbinate fins on the interior of the intake end, and a means of heat dissipation on the exterior of the intake end of said venturi tube. Instead of a circular cross-section profile, the venturi tube has a cross-section of a polygon with no parallel sides, so that considerably less aerodynamic noise is generated than if the venturi tube's cross-section was circular. In addition, this cross-section results in variances in flow velocity along the cross-section, assuring continuous flow through the unit should a sonic choke occur at any point in the unit. The fans may be of any type and driven by any means appropriate to the respective model of the invention's application, i.e. by internally or externally mounted motor(s), power takeoff, belt drive from an external source of torque, etc. Gases are compressed into the intake end of the venturi tube by the compressor fan; the compressed gases rise in temperature. The turbinate fins located in the interior of the intake section of the venturi tube serve two purposes: one, as cooling fins to cool the compressed gases; and two, as a ducting means to promote the turbulent transfer of heat out of said intake end of the venturi tube, increasing thermal transfer efficiency. Said heat is conducted through the turbinate fins, out through the sides of the intake end of the venturi tube, and is dissipated outside of the tube by any means appropriate to the respective model of the invention's application, i.e. heat sink, cooling fins, water jacket, or any combination thereof. The blower fan on the output end of said venturi tube creates a partial vacuum inside the output end of the tube, drawing gases through the narrow mid-section and out of the output end of said tube. This causes the gases to lose pressure and therefore temperature. The resultant temperature of the discharged gases is lower than the temperature of the ambient or intake gases.
