    Abstract: An offshore platform slot recovery tool system having a housing, wherein the housing can include a plate extending below the housing, and wherein the plate comprises an elongated channel disposed within the plate. In addition, the system can include a first bracket secured to a lower end of the plate, and a first mount coupled to the plate and the first bracket, wherein the first mount is at least partially disposed within the elongated channel of the plate. Further, the elongated channel can be at an acute angle relative to one side of the plate.

    Abstract: An apparatus is configured for undersea use, such as for penetrating a seabed for forming a borehole therein, including with optional data acquisition and logging capabilities. A first or base module (12) of the apparatus is adapted for engaging the seabed. A first elevator (16) provides longitudinal movement of a second or upper module (14) relative to the base module (12) along a drilling axis. The relative movement of the upper and base modules may be used in the course of independently moving first (18) and second (20) rotary units along the drilling axis to cause a drill rod (R) and a drill casing (C) to penetrate the seabed such that the collapse of the borehole is avoided.

    Abstract: A subsea well intervention cap is provided. The subsea well intervention cap includes a frame, a first clamp segment coupled to the frame and configured to be fitted over a horizontally oriented flowpath of a subsea well equipment component, and a second clamp segment having a rim segment configured to interface with the first clamp segment, wherein the second clamp segment is movable with respect to the first clamp segment. The subsea well intervention cap also includes an actuation mechanism coupled to the frame that actuates the second clamp segment in a vertically upward direction and in an axial direction with respect to the frame toward the first clamp segment. The subsea well intervention cap is lightweight and able to be installed on subsea well equipment using a standard remote operated vehicle (ROV).

    Abstract: A technique facilitates continued operation of a position indicator which may be used with a valve or other types of actuatable components. The technique utilizes a housing and a stem driver mounted for rotation within the housing to actuate the valve/component to a desired position. The stem driver has a threaded region which is threadably engaged with a clutch collar located in the housing. When the stem driver is rotated relative to the clutch collar, the clutch collar moves in an axial direction along the interior of the housing. The clutch collar is coupled with a bracket which moves during axial translation of the clutch collar. The clutch collar comprises a flexible portion which enables slippage of threads at the region of coupling between the clutch collar and the stem driver if movement of the bracket becomes sufficiently restricted.

    Abstract: A plurality of PODs for a lower marine riser package (LMRP) is disclosed. At least a first subsea electronics module (SEM) and a second SEM are provided in a first POD of the plurality of PODs. At least a third SEM and a fourth SEM are provided in a second pod. The third SEM is redundant with the first SEM and the fourth SEM is redundant with the second SEM. At least one selector circuit is provided to transmit an SEM select signal that electrically activates or electrically deactivates the first SEM separately from the third SEM. As a result, each of the SEMs in the plurality of PODs may be separately activated or deactivated without a need to turn off fluid provided to hydraulic valves in the first and the second PODs that are controlled by corresponding SEMs.
