Abstract: A wash tool comprises a mandrel with a central annulus and one or more lateral bores and one or more ring-shaped rotary hubs positioned about the mandrel adjacent to the one or more lateral bores. The rotary hubs comprise lateral bores perpendicular to the lateral bores of the mandrel such that pressurized fluid introduced to the central annulus of the mandrel impacts the inner surface of the rotary hubs and forces them to rotate, delivering pressurized fluid to the inner surface of a wellbore or tubular. The wash tool is modular and can be attached to a top sub or bottom sub, and may be used with or without a wireline. When used with a wireline, the wireline is insulated from the wash fluid by means of a tie-back and multiple seals.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a downhole cleaning apparatus and a method of cleaning a wellbore. The downhole cleaning apparatus has a body and a cleaning element coupled to the body. The cleaning element is selectively moveable in relation to the body from a retracted position to an extended position. When the cleaning element is in the retracted position it is retained by retention formations internal to the tool that are coupled together. The retention formations can be slideably released from one another to enable the cleaning element is able to move to the extended position. The force required to slideable release the retention formations exceeds any forces encountered when the apparatus is run in, preventing premature extension of the cleaning element.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for cleaning an oil and gas well riser section or assembly on location offshore that includes a larger diameter central pipe and a plurality of smaller diameter pipes that are spaced radially away from the central larger diameter pipe. Even more particularly, the present invention relates to an improved method and apparatus for cleaning oil and gas well riser sections wherein a specially configured cap or pair of caps are fitted to the ends of the riser which enable pressure washing cleaning tools (or a camera) to be inserted into and through a selected one of the pipes including either a smaller diameter of the pipes or the central larger diameter pipe and wherein the cap continuously collects spent cleaning fluid and debris, allowing the cleaning process to be done on location without transporting the riser section back onshore.

Abstract: A downhole cleaning apparatus (10) comprising a tubular body (12). The tubular body (12) comprises comprising a plurality of openings (20) therethrough. Each opening (20) defines at least part of a helix extending longitudinally and circumferentially about the tubular body (12). The downhole cleaning apparatus (10) also includes a plurality of cleaning elements (22). Each cleaning element (22) is configured to extend through an opening (20) and to extend outwards from an outer surface of the tubular body (12). The cleaning elements (22) are distributed about the tubular body (12) and each cleaning element (22) defines at least part of a helix extending longitudinally and circumferentially about the tubular body. The openings (20) and the cleaning elements (22) are grouped to define a plurality of substantially continuous helical paths (18). Each helical path (18) extends substantially end to end of the tubular body and the helical paths (18) are distributed relative to each other to define a cleaning surface of at least 360 degrees.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for preparing a casing of a subterranean well and injecting a sealing mixture therein. The apparatus comprises an elongate body extending between top and bottom ends connectable to a wireline at the top and having a plurality of nozzles extending therethrough proximate to the bottom. A plurality of scrapers within the body each have a first retracted position and a second radially extended position engageable with the casing. A cavity is operable to contain the sealing mixture and a piston is movable therein so to eject the sealing mixture through the nozzles. The method comprises positioning the body in the well at a location to be sealed, extending the scrapers to engage with the casing, displacing the body so to scrape against the casing and retracting the scrapers. The piston is displaced so to eject the sealing mixture through the nozzles.
