Abstract: A system that can include a vertical support rotationally coupled to a rig floor, a hoisting arm movably coupled to the vertical support, and a catwalk, wherein the hoisting arm is configured to transport the tubular between the catwalk and well center or mousehole while the vertical support maintains a substantially constant azimuthal orientation. A method can include movably coupling a vertical support to an upper track, extending an upper tailing arm a first horizontal distance from the vertical support to engage an upper portion of a tubular, retracting the upper tailing arm to move the upper portion of the tubular proximate the vertical support, and extending a hoisting arm a second horizontal distance to engage a middle portion of the tubular, wherein the second horizontal distance is less than the first horizontal distance.

Abstract: A technique facilitates assembly of well equipment at a wellsite. To help lift certain types of well tools, a mounting frame may be releasably coupled to a well string, e.g. a coiled tubing string. A cable guide and a cable attachment member may be releasably coupled to a well tool which is to be moved into engagement with the well string. A cable may be routed from the cable attachment member, through the cable guide, to a cable mounting feature of the mounting frame, and to a winch. The winch is operable to draw in the cable so as to move the well tool into alignment with and up into engagement with a connector of the well string.

Abstract: A system includes a crate and a deployer. The crate is configured to contain a plurality of elongated rods; the crate has a length, width and height. The deployer includes a bed frame upper surface, a crate support frame, a tilt mechanism and a scope mechanism. Abstract: A locking device includes an outer portion and an inner portion. The outer portion has a bore formed at least partially axially therethrough and a channel formed laterally therethrough. The inner portion is positioned at least partially within the bore. A first link is positioned at least partially outside of the outer portion and coupled to the inner portion through the channel. A second link is coupled to the outer portion. A pin is coupled to the first link and the second link. The locking device is in an unlocked state when the inner portion is fully positioned within the bore, and the locking device is in a locked state when an end of the inner portion extends axially out of the bore.

Abstract: A multifunction manipulator includes a carriage; an articulated arm; a robotic apparatus; and a manipulation head. The robotic apparatus moves the manipulation head with at least three degrees of freedom. The manipulator moves the manipulation head with at least five degrees of freedom. The carriage includes a sliding block; a pulley-type hoisting device having a winch; an emergency braking system to prevent the carriage from moving due to malfunction of the hoisting system and to slide the carriage vertically. The articulated arm has a monolithic body constrained at a first end to the carriage, and at a second end to a first end of the robotic apparatus. The manipulation head connects to a second end of the robotic apparatus. The articulated arm includes first and second actuators. The articulated arm and robotic apparatus have electric actuators controlled independently by a control system of the manipulator.
