摘要: A climbing apparatus comprises a plurality of steps secured between parallel side walls. Steps ascend from a lower position to a higher position at which they are secured to an end wall. End wall is perpendicular to the side walls and secured to the side walls with corner members. Corner members are at least partially hollow to accommodate vertically reciprocating adjustable handles. Adjustable handles preferably have a curved end to secure to and accommodate the sides of a shopping cart and can be locked at one or more vertical positions. End wall, corner members, side walls, and steps can be separate components fixedly attached with adhesive or fasteners or they can be integral with one another. Steps can include slip-resistant features, one or more non-slip feet can be placed on the underside of the climbing apparatus, and a safety gate can be included as well.

摘要: An exemplary embodiment is an assistive device for enabling individuals with limited mobility to step up to a generally horizontal patient support apparatus having: a pair of foldable frames each having a generally U-shaped vertical side frame. Each of the frames has a plurality of horizontal support members and is coupled to one or more horizontal support bars that are located at a rear of the device. A plurality of foldable steps is coupled to the frames. A method of a patient/user using the device described above includes the acts of: unfolding a folded device (if folded); placing the device with a rear portion facing and against an examination table or bed. Having the patient/user grip a pair of grips and placing a first foot on a lower step. The patient then places a second foot on an upper step with the first foot remaining on the lower step while maintaining his/her hands on the grips. The patient then places the second foot on the second step, thus having both feet on the upper step and in a standing position while gripping the grips. The patient then turns around on the upper step to face away from the examination table or bed while still gripping the grips and moving to a sitting position on the examination table.

摘要: A freestanding ladder structure has a first base member arranged on one side of an object to be bridged, a second base member arranged on the other side of the object, and a raised platform supported above the object by two ladder members having their lower end portions engaged with the base members. The various parts and components of the ladder structure are hollow or tubular and may be conveniently formed of plastic by a well known blow molding technique. Where necessary, a reinforcing insert is arranged within a component to resist flexure or bending thereof. Some components are provided with hook members engagable with other components to prevent unintended separation of the assembled components.

摘要: A safety system for a swimming pool ladder is described for use in above-ground swimming pools. The safety system can comprise a frame covered with fabric or other enclosure permanently or temporarily affixed to the ladder and/or the sidewall of an above-ground swimming pool. The fabric can comprise a plurality of vent holes to prevent excessive side loads caused by water currents. The safety system can be detachably coupled to the ladder using a tab and slot configuration. The safety system can prevent objects from entering and becoming trapped between the pool sidewall and the pool ladder.

摘要: The present invention is directed to ladder sculptures and methods of use, and in particular to anthropomorphized ladder sculptures. The ladder structure has a first ladder leg with a portion having a shape generally depicting a profile of a human male or human female body an a second ladder leg with a portion having a shape of a human male or human female body. A plurality of rungs interconnect the first and second ladder legs, with the portions depicting the human female or male body shape positioned between top and bottom ends of the ladder legs.

摘要: A ladder is disclosed including wheels normally received off the ground, and four legs normally supporting the ladder. When it is desired to move the ladder, it is pivoted off the legs until the wheels contact the ground and fully support the ladder. The ladder may then be moved. A rail includes an angled portion which provides a handle allowing the ladder to be easily moved. The wheel is most preferably mounted above the ground by a distance between its radius and its diameter such that when the ladder is supported on the wheels, the legs will not interfere with the ground.

摘要: A safety ladder for a pool includes a movable ladder portion that can be moved between an accessible position and an inaccessible position. The movable ladder portion is disposed substantially outside of the pool and provides a series of steps that can be climbed vertically for entry into the pool when it is located in the accessible position. In the inaccessible position, the movable ladder portion is moved such that the steps can no longer be climbed and access to the pool is prevented. Such safety ladder assemblies are provided primarily to prevent children and other at risk individuals from entering an unattended pool. A dampening member is provided such that the force necessary to move the movable ladder portion is regulated to prevent a dangerous accumulation of moment and limit a risk of injury through harmful contact therewith.

摘要: The folding step ladder has lower and upper treads and lower and upper risers which are pivotal relative to the treads. The ladder also has front and back side panels on each side of the treads. The side panels on each side are pivotal relative to each other. The lower riser is pivotal relative to the lower tread and to both of the front side panels. A rear panel is pivotal relative to both of the back side panels and the upper tread. When the step ladder is closed or folded and one of its components is lifted, gravity causes the step ladder to open or to unfold. When another of its components is lifted while the step ladder is open or unfolded, gravity causes the step ladder to close or to fold. Handles are provided on the two components to facilitate lifting of them.
