    摘要: In one embodiment, a closure system comprises a guide assembly having a channel defined by a first guide wall and a second guide wall. The closure system may include a retention bar extending into the channel from the first guide wall and a plurality of slats. Each slat of the plurality of slats may be configured to interlock with another of the plurality of slats. Each slat may have a retention groove with at least one sidewall configured and dimensioned to engage the retention bar to retain the slat within the channel.

    摘要: Safety blinds for installation in an opening in a building such as a door or window includes a closure covering the opening, a plurality of projections along the side edges of the opening and a plurality of corresponding apertures along the side edges of the closure, whereby locking the projections into the openings prevents the closure from opening and also prevents the side edges of the closure from being displaced from the side edges of the opening. In another embodiment, the projections from the closure cooperate with a continuous channel along the edge of the opening whereby the projections can move within the channel for opening and closing the closure and can be locked in position for again preventing the closure from being opened.

    摘要: A rolling shutter system employs a variable efficiency bi-directional drive mechanism which permits easy and quick raising of the rolling shutter while protecting against self-lowering of the shutter by reason of its own weight. The system also employs a novel operator for the bi-directional drive mechanism which is characterized by an easy and comfortable to grip bead string which also is attractive in appearance. The bead string is trained about a sprocket wheel, and an overload slip clutch is provided between the sprocket wheel and worm gear drive to limit the amount of force that can be applied to the bead string during raising and lowering of the rolling shutter. Also provided is a novel shutter travel limit and locking device, a novel valance construction and a novel through the wall shaft assembly.

    摘要: An alarm system for rolling shutter comprised of plurality of alarm sensors is described. An alarm sensor is comprised of a conductive wire that is threaded within a slat and is connected in both sides to slat edge elements. The slat edge elements have a moving electrical contact that can be pulled out towards the inner wall of the shutter rail by a magnet. In selected heights along the rails, on both rails, a rail electric element comprising a magnet and a rail electrical contact are installed. A wire is connected from each rail electrical contact to an alarm control box. When the slat, which includes the slat-wire, is positioned in the same height as the rail electric elements, the moving contact on the slat makes a contact with the rail electric contact, thus creating a continuous electrical circuit from one rail electrical contact, through the slat, to the second rail electric contact. An attempt to move a slat, move the rails or cut the slat, will open the electrical circuit and generate an alarm, signal. An attempt to bypass the electrical circuit is detected by the change in the line resistance.
