The present invention relates to a method of molding a plywood board, and plywood board manufactured therefrom, comprising the steps of: providing a plywood board; conditioning the plywood board with water; disposing the conditioned plywood board in a contoured mold press having first and second platens; and deforming the plywood board in the mold press using sufficient heat and pressure to form a molded plywood door skin having contoured portions simulating panels.
Abstract:
A door has a core that includes a porous layer having a thickness and two opposing major surfaces. In one construction, the core also includes three fire-retardant layers, and two of the fire-retardant layers are separated by the porous layer. The porous layer and the fire-retardant layers are coupled together. Other constructions include one or more fire-retardant layers in balanced or unbalanced placement around the porous layer.

A door assembly structure with glass according to this invention is formed from one door leaf, which is rectangular shape with an opening for glass installed therein; two identical glass injected-frames, which is provided with inside frame and outside frame which is at a position bevel to inside frame, and which outside frame has a flat surface inside on which has a recess, and at inside frame an inner rib with flat surface is formed along its inner edge and a middle rib with flat surface is also formed at a distance parallel to inner rib so that a recess formed in between inner rib and middle rib and a space formed beside middle rib, wherein at a certain distance to middle rib several tenons and several slot mortises in interval with symmetrical position is formed so that by tenon and slot mortise joint one of two identical glass injected-frames may be jointed to the other which is turned in half circle; and at least one piece of glass, which size is smaller than opening of said door leaf and which appearance is similar to that of said opening of said door leaf. Without using any general screws to assemble a door assembly structure with glass of this invention but by use of tenon and slot mortise joint. This invention is completely assembled as a whole door assembly structure with glass much more easily than before does and capably reduce cost without wasting working time.

A method for fabricating muntin grid pieces includes steps that attach a pair of material strips to opposed edges of the muntin bar element. The material strips may be provided in side-by-side strips that may be separated an simultaneously applied to the opposite sides of the muntin bar element. The connection between the material strips and the muntin bar element may be made with an adhesive or a mechanical connection. The method allows the material strips to be connected to the muntin grid pieces before the muntin grid pieces are assembled into a muntin bar grid for a window.

A method of providing a glazed panel with Georgian-effect glazing bars (45). The method comprises providing a frame (37) for the panel and glazing material (30) to fit within the frame. A generally U-shaped clip (33), having two arms (35,36) which lie respectively against the side faces of the glazing material, is arranged to extend around the edge of the glazing material (30). A length of moulded hollow-section glazing bar (45), suitable for extending across a side face of the glazing material (30), is cut and is then engaged with an arm (35) of the clip so that the arm enters the open end (49) of the glazing bar (45). This holds the end region of the glazing bar (45) against the side face of the glazing material (30). Preferably a matrix of intersecting glazing bars (45) is formed, and at least some of the ends of the bars that extend to the edge of the panel are held in place by U-shaped clips.

A type of relief engraved doorplate, comprising an inside plate that is composed of a first Bakelite layer and a second Bakelite layer, said first Bakelite layer and second Bakelite layer being composed of coarse wood dust and fine wood powder respectively, the second Bakelite layer enveloping the exterior of the first Bakelite layer before they are subjected to heated compression molding to obtain the relief engraved pattern on the top and bottom panels of the inside plate; and, at least one pair of outside decorative plates, including at least a layer of thin wood plate and a layer of water-resistant paper, the water-resistant paper being glued onto the thin wood plate and put in a compression mold with a pattern that is opposite to that of the inside plate, to obtain a depressed pattern on one side of the outside decorative plate, which is opposite to the relief engraved pattern on the inside plate, and then it is fitted to the top and bottom panels of the inside plate and subjected to compression molding process to obtain a relief engraved doorplate that has a tightly knit structure and tenacity to resist water and fire.
