摘要: This invention provides a foundation structure (10) cast from a settable material such as concrete and comprises a slab (12) having a particular generally annular non-rectangular circumferential outer profile. The foundation structure (10) is further provided with a plurality of intsecting primary beams (14) extending through a common central region of the slab (12); and a secondary annular circumferentially extending beam (16). The structure (10) is constructed by a method including the steps of forming a plurality of radially extending primary channels extending through a central foundation region of the building; forming a secondary annular circumferentially extending channel; providing a void former for defining a common central region of intersecting channels, through which the primary beams (14) extend after being cast; casting a settable material into the channels; and casting a slab of settable material integrally with the primary and secondary beams (14, 16).

摘要: A partition system for office spaces generally includes a framework and a plurality of different types of decorative and/or functional tiles mountable to the framework. The framework includes I- and C-shaped vertical frame members which are adjustably joined by upper and lower horizontal spanners such that the distance between the vertical frame members is adjustable. Also, the framework may include other types of vertical frame members for forming L-, T-, or X-junctions within the partition system framework. A variety of decorative and functional tiles are mountable to the framework, including retractable workspace tiles, several types of storage tiles, display tiles, window tiles, and electrical and data services tiles.

摘要: Mood regulation enclosures and methods of use thereof are disclosed. The mood regulation enclosures include an interior space to contain a user, a closeable aperture and physical barriers which effectively sensorily separate the user from the outside environment. A person observing the enclosure from outside is unable to ascertain an activity of the user within. The enclosure may be specifically configured for aggression release or for passive relaxation. The method of regulating a mood includes providing a mood regulation enclosure as described hereinabove, allowing a user to enter the enclosure so that the user is effectively sensorily separated from the outside environment and preventing a person observing the enclosure from outside from ascertaining an activity of the user within.

摘要: A method of constructing modular, multi-use, enclosed shelters by recycling modular shipping containers, including the steps of determining a desired type of enclosed shelter module compatible with the dimensions of a modular shipping container, determining structural and functional components necessary for the selected type of enclosed shelter module, packing the structural and functional components into the modular shipping container, transporting the packed shipping container to a site selected for the enclosed shelter module, unpacking the structural and functional components from the shipping container, and assembling the structural and functional components into and onto the shipping container to convert the shipping container into the desired type of enclosed shelter module. Modular, multi-use enclosed shelters may be constructed by assembling a plurality of shipping containers converted into one or more types of enclosed shelter modules into a multi-element structure, wherein each element of the structure is comprised of a converted shipping container and the shipping containers are joined by means of the mechanisms normally provided to interlock multiple modular shipping containers during shipping.

摘要: A modular in-wall medical services unit for medical care facilities. A frame supports a cabinet with a cover panel providing electrical and/or gas outlets. Built-in electrical and gas conduits are included. A junction box and ends of the gas conduits near the top of the frame are accessible after wallboard is applied. Thus, wallboard can be installed before or after wiring is completed and gas connections are made. The self-aligning cover panel is nullfloatinglynull supported on the frame so that a bead of sealant can be applied around the edge before the cover panel is nullsnugged upnull to the wall and secured. The trim flanges on the cover panel include vertical equipment mounting tracks. Manufacturing is simplified by making the height of the frame adjustable; the same frame elements can be used to assemble units for different ceiling heights, decreasing the number of required parts in inventory and expediting assembly.

摘要: Merchandise is marketed from the premises of a merchant from which the merchandise is normally transported in bags supplied by the merchant. This may, for example, be a grocery store. The merchant provides customers with re-usable bags for transporting their purchases. These bags may be sold to the customers or they may be given away as a promotion. Each customer who returns to the store with the re-usable bags receives an award on the acquisition newly acquired merchandise. The award may be a discount on the newly acquired merchandise, a reward in a reward program or any other product or service that will attract customers. The newly acquired merchandise may be restricted to selected products identified by displays or advertising. Where a particular manufacturer's or supplier's product is selected as a product triggering a discount or is being offered at a discount, the manufacturer or supplier may pay the merchant or provide some other consideration. The method encourages customers to use re-usable bags, which reduces waste. The merchant and his suppliers benefit from returning customers and product promotion. The bags may carry advertising, possibly sold by the merchant to suppliers.
