    摘要: A deck system is disclosed having a mounting plate with a planar support surface and at least one locating rod extending from the support surface. The locating rod extends in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the support surface. A beam having a first end and a second end is positioned on the support surface of the mounting plate. The first and second ends of the beam have a slot and the slot is disposed for receiving the locating rod. At least one tread is disposed to extend between the two spaced apart parallel oriented beams. The tread has opposed shoulders on the side of the tread that engages the spaced apart beams. The opposed shoulders are disposed for engaging a side of the spaced apart beams that are in adjacent relationship.

    摘要: A new civil infrastructure construction scheme is provided that is capable of meeting various objectives, including reducing climate change, addressing labor shortage issues, and enhancing construction productivity. Methods of forming load-bearing structures include placing a first reusable load-bearing element adjacent to a second reusable load-bearing element. The first reusable load-bearing element is fixed with respect to the second reusable load-bearing element without any adhesive or mortar. The first reusable load-bearing element and the second reusable load-bearing element respectively have a compressive strength of greater than or equal to about 25 MPa. The first and second reusable load-bearing elements optionally may be formed by additive manufacturing with a printable cementitious composition, such as an engineered cementitious composite.

Each respective masonry unit and each respective footer block are post tensioned to be under compression.

    摘要: A method for forming a structural paver deck assembly includes fastening structural decking panels across a bare frame structure. One or more of the decking panels includes an upper panel surface having a non-planar contoured decking panel surface. A paver decking surface is seated over the plurality of structural decking panels to form a paver decking surface. Seating includes positioning a plurality of paver pieces on the structural decking panels including interfittingly engaging the paver pieces to the non-planar contoured decking panel surface. Seating further includes aligning the plurality of paver pieces in at least one specified direction, wherein the paver pieces includes paver contour surfaces along a lower surface having a corresponding shape to the non-planar contoured decking panel surface. Interfitting engagement of the paver contour surfaces with the non-planar contoured panel surface orients the one or more paver pieces in the at least one specified direction.

    摘要: A horizontal diaphragm for the generation of floor and roof structures includes a plurality of construction units arranged in rows and integrated joists by clip ties, wherein a load transferring material fills spaces between adjacent construction units in a row, both transversely and longitudinally. Each construction unit includes a lip projecting toward an adjacent unit in the row and defining with the other construction unit a space for receiving the filler material. The clip ties are anchored in the joists and are movable from a position obstructing the placement of additional construction units on the joists to a position integrating the previous construction unit with the joists. The joists comprise U-shaped troughs filled with grout in which the clip ties are anchored at spaced locations. The structure defining the trough can be monolithic or can comprise a plurality of discrete units placed in alignment and connected by reinforcing bars. The joists themselves can be monolithic, integrating the troughs and the grout around the reinforcement.

    摘要: A load-carrying building structure, particularly ceilings and floors, comprising an assembly of prefabricated box-shaped components made from appropriate non-viscoelastic material like wood, steel and concrete. The box-shaped components are held together to form a rigid structure by means of tensioning members, a plurality of rods made from high quality steel arranged in at least two crossing directions. The rods are positioned and tensioned to such a degree that the tensile stresses in the structure due to dead load and live load are entirely eliminated by the compression stresses brought to the structure by the tensioning members. The mentioned boxes are thin-walled with a ratio between length: thickness of at least 30:1, and the ratio between depth:length is between 1:1 and 1:4.
