    Abstract: Methods and systems of providing domestic water service to a commercial/residential building via a water booster pump assembly are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the water booster pump assembly includes first and second water pipe branch circuits. In some embodiments, each water pipe branch circuit is configured with a backflow preventer and the water pipe branch circuits are fluidly coupled to one another in parallel. In some embodiments, the water pipe branch circuits are further coupled to one another via a crossover branch pipe configured to allow continuous flow through the two backflow preventers. Each water pipe branch circuit may include a pump. The crossover branch allows water to flow through both backflow preventers, even when one pump is inoperative.

    Abstract: A liquid supply system comprising of a source of liquid, at least one storage (325,326,312) at an elevation, supply pipe line (305) connecting the source of liquid to the said storage, a device to raise/move the liquid from the said source to the said storage, at least one outlet (370, 380) at or below the level of said storage; wherein the said storage is hermetically closed and is capable of holding the liquid under air pressure. The delivery pipeline is connected to the various outlets to supply pressurized liquid to the user after opening of the outlet (s) at any time including the period when the pump is not supplying to the closed storage facility. A one way valve (314) connected to the closed facility is activated by building up of liquid in the intermediary buffer line which creates a low pressure which forces the one way valve to open when the pressure in the system falls below atmospheric pressure.

    Abstract: A plurality of relatively large, high capacity, high head, pumps disposed in parallel in the basement of a building provide water under pressure throughout the water pipes in a high rise building. Pressurestatic switch means controls the operation of these main pumps. A small, low capacity, high head auxiliary pump of an auxiliary booster system in the upper regions of the building supplies water to an accumulator tank in the auxiliary system from the water pipes so that during periods of low demand, such as at night and on weekends, the operation of the main pumps will be minimized. A control assembly including a timer and pressurestatic limit switches in the auxiliary control system dictates when the auxiliary pump is actuated and shut off and when the accumulator tank is opened to the water pipes.

    Abstract: A control apparatus for a water supply system having a motor operated pump for pumping water through a delivery line to one or more valved outlets. The control apparatus includes a pressure switch responsive to the pressure in the delivery line and operable at preselected upper and lower pressure limits to respectively stop and start the pump motor, and a valve which regulates flow from the pump to the delivery line and is operated by a pneumatically loaded diaphragm responsive to the pressure in the delivery line to maintain the pressure in the line substantially constant at a value intermediate the upper and lower pressure limits during normal flow from the delivery line, with a bypass for passing a restricted flow of fluid into the delivery line, when the flow from the delivery line is shut off and the valve is closed, to increase the pressure in the delivery line and operate the switch to shut off the pump motor. The diaphragm also functions as a small expansion chamber to limit the frequency at which the control apparatus will cycle the pump motor, when water is drawn from the delivery line at a rate below the bypass rate, and provision is made for controlling the expansion and contraction of the diaphragm in a manner to effect a rapid increase in pressure into the delivery line to shut off the pump motor, when flow from the delivery line is terminated.

    Abstract: A sump pump irrigation assembly for reducing water erosion from a sump pump outlet includes a plurality of fluid fittings. A respective one of the fluid fittings is fluidly coupled to an outlet of a sump pump to receive water from the outlet. A supply pipe is fluidly coupled to the fluid fitting that is fluidly coupled to the outlet to receive the water from the fluid fitting. A plurality of drainage pipes is each of the drainage pipes is in fluid communication with the supply pipe to receive the water from the supply pipe. Each of the drainage pipes has a plurality of holes therein to release the water outwardly therefrom. A plurality of cleanout fittings is each fluidly coupled between a respective pair of the drainage pipes. Each of the cleanout fittings has an access port to facilitate debris to be removed from the cleanout fittings.
