    摘要: A handle for a construction tool includes a lower handle portion configured to be coupled to the construction tool, an upper handle portion configured to be grasped by a user, a support pin disposed between the upper handle portion to the lower handle portion, and a locking mechanism configured to selectively secure the upper handle portion relative to the lower handle portion. The upper handle portion pivotable relative to the lower handle portion about the support pin. The locking mechanism includes a locking pin movable between a lock position, in which the upper handle portion is not pivotable relative to the lower handle portion, and an unlock position, in which the upper handle portion is pivotable relative to the lower handle portion, and a release handle configured to selectively move the locking pin between the lock position and the unlock position.

    摘要: The invention relates to an arrangement and method for operating a self-propelled vibratory plate device. The vibratory plate of this device receives its vibratory motion from counter-rotating eccentric parts driven by an internal combustion engine. According to the method, the vibratory plate is stopped with a deadman's handle mounted on the device without the engine stopping. The method is realized with the arrangement of the invention which includes the deadman's handle. The deadman's handle is connected to the engine's fuel control and a centrifugal clutch between the engine and the eccentric parts is engaged only when the speed of the engine is above idle speed. A cam is provided with an interacting support which limits the angular movement of the deadman's handle to a position which corresponds to the idle speed of the engine.

    摘要: A hydraulic impact tool providing improved force absorption for facilitated manipulation by an operator. In the illustrated embodiment, the tool comprises a tamper which provides substantial tamping force with minimum vibration and uncontrolled bounce. The tool utilizes a hydraulic power system for improved noise reduction and minimizaton of fatigue. The tool provides a forward stroke wherein the force is applied for a preselected time, and a retraction stroke wherein the moving elements are retracted to a preselected position. The tool is adapted for use with a wide range of load resistances.
