摘要： A method and device for feeding laundry pieces to a laundry treatment installation. Laundry pieces are fed to ironers by infeed machines. In practice, a front transverse periphery of a laundry piece is folded back on itself. In order to prevent this, infeed machines have stretching installations that have belt conveyors that lie on top of one another, one of which is briefly decelerated so as to unravel a front transverse periphery of the laundry piece that is folded back on itself. This deceleration decreases the infeed performance. One belt conveyor of the present stretching installation is at least temporarily driven at a faster speed to unravel a transverse periphery of the laundry piece that has potentially folded back on itself before the laundry piece runs into the ironer, increasing the infeed performance as it is no longer necessary for either of the belt conveyors to be decelerated.

摘要： An ironing press includes an ironing table equipped with an endless conveyor belt mounted on two spaced parallel rollers and a drive for rotating one of the rollers to drive the belt. For an ironing operation, a heatable pressing plate is moved near to the ironing table. In order to enable the conveyor belt to have sufficient strength and inextensibility to be driven by the rollers and yet provide a suitable ironing surface the conveyor belt is made up of a drive belt carrying a cushion and a textile covering enclosing the outer surface of the cushion. Friction between the cushion and the covering acts to drive the covering with the drive belt.

摘要： An article of clothing carried on an upstanding planar form is continuously moved along a path which passes between a pair of upstanding pressing members mounted in closely spaced parallel relationship within a drying chamber. As the form enters the area between the pressing members, the members are separated by the form, against the action of springs urging the members towards each other. The opposing interior pressing surfaces of the members are each spring loaded into engagement with a different side of the article to smooth and press same as the form moves relative to the pressing members.
