    摘要: A powder coating compositions incorporates a wax in post-blended form, the composition incorporating the wax and the same composition without the wax being separated, preferably widely separated, in a triboelectric reference series indicative of the extent to which powder coating compositions may be distinguishable from one another when electrically charged. The powder coating compositions incorporating a wax in post-blended form is especially suitable for coating articles having recessed portions. A quantitative basis is given for determining separation in the triboelectric reference series, and preferred minimum separation criteria are given. The effects obtainable using post-blended wax may be enhanced by the use, as further post-blended additives, of a combination of aluminium oxide and aluminium hydroxide.

    摘要: A method of preventing re-swelling of a compressed wooden blank, includes the steps of: a) providing a blank of compressed wood; b) exposing the blank to a reduced gas pressure of at most 0.5 atm; c) submerging the blank in a volume-stabilising composition containing a hydrophobic base component and an additive which is compatible with the hydrophobic base component and which includes one or more hydrophilic groups chosen from carboxyl-, hydroxy- and amino groups; d) exposing the blank to a higher pressure than in step b) over a predetermined period of time while keeping the blank submerged in the volume-stabilising composition; and e) removing the blank from the composition. Steps b) and step c) are carried out simultaneously.
