    摘要: The present invention provides NCO prepolymers comprising the reaction product of (1) an allophanate-modified diphenylmethane diisocyanate having an NCO group content of 12 to 32.5% by weight and comprising the reaction product of, (a) an aliphatic alcohol or an aromatic alcohol; and (b) diphenylmethane diisocyanate comprising: (i) from 10 to 60% by weight of 2,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, (ii) less than 6% by weight of 2,2′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, and (iii) the balance being 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, wherein the sum of the percentages by weight of (1)(b)(i), (1)(b)(ii), and (1)(b)(iii) total 100% by weight of (1)(b), and (2) a polyether polyol having a molecular weight of 134 to 10,000, an OH number of 420 to 14, and a functionality of at least 1.8. The NCO prepolymers of the present invention find use in preparing elastomeric coatings, adhesives, sealants, and the like.

The spray polyurea elastomers are prepared with a prepolymer formed by reacting a low 2,4′-isomer content MDI with an MDI reactive component. This prepolymer is blended with a high 2,4′-isomer content MDI to form a quasi-prepolymer. The quasi-prepolymer is reacted with an amine resin to form polyurea elastomers.

    摘要: Prepolymers which contain isocyanate groups, have an NCO content of at least 30.0% by weight and can be prepared by reacting an isocyanate mixture consisting predominantly of diphenylmethane diisocyanates and polyphenylpolymethylene polyisocyanates and having a proportion of two-ring isomers of not more than 74% by weight with at least 4-functional polyols or a mixture of polyols having a mean functionality of at least 4, where the polyols or polyol mixtures have a hydroxyl number of from 200 to 1650 mg KOH/g and a number average molecular weight of less than 1100 g/mol. The present invention also provides a process for preparing these prepolymers containing isocyanate groups, provides for their use for producing polyurethanes and provides a process for producing polyurethanes by reacting at least one novel prepolymer containing isocyanate groups, if desired in admixture with further organic and/or modified organic isocyanates (a), with compounds having at least two reactive hydrogen atoms (b) in the presence of, if desired, blowing agents (c), catalysts (d) and, if desired, further auxiliaries and/or additives (e).

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for the production of one-shot polyurethane elastomers having low compression sets. This process comprises reacting a polymethylene poly(phenylisocyanate) having an average functionality of 2.2 to 2.8, and a polyol component that has an average functionality of 2.0 or less. The polyol component comprises at least one relatively high molecular weight isocyanate-reactive component, and at least one relatively low molecular weight isocyanate-reactive component, with the functionalities and quantities of each component being such that the above average functionality of 2.0 or less for the polyol component is satisfied. Polyurethane elastomers produced by the process of this invention are characterized by compression sets of less than 10%.
