    摘要: There is provided a method of installing spiral hangers about a messenger line installed between first and second utility poles with a cable being lashed to the messenger line with a lashing wire. The method includes attaching a first and second spiral hangers to the messenger line between first and second utility poles with the first spiral hanger disposed about the messenger line and the cable. The method includes removing the lashing wire from being around the messenger line and the cable adjacent the second spiral hanger. The method includes moving the second spiral hanger towards the second utility pole. The method includes attaching a successive spiral hanger to the messenger line between the spiral hangers and repeating the moving of the second spiral hanger and attaching another successive spiral hanger.

    摘要: This invention relates to a load hoist arrangement (1) comprising a control device (50) arranged between a traverse device and a load carrying device (52). The load carrying device (52) is manually guidable in a three-dimentional space and lateral movement of said load carrying device (52) is controlled by a driving device. The driving device is controlled by recorded and transmitted force impacts from said control device (50) to said driving device. The traverse device has support elements (5, 6, 7) for supporting a traveling bridge (4), arranged to travel along said support elements (5, 6, 7), and a carriage (3) arranged to travel back and forth on said traveling bridge (4). The driving device comprises at least one motor, provided with at least two driving wheel units (15, 16), secured to said carriage (3) and two drag elements (21, 21′) secured at its end portions to opposite end portions of said support elements (5, 6) and crossing at said traveling bridge (4). The drag elements (21, 21′) crossing each other at said carriage (3) arranged such that a first driving wheel unit (15) works in contact with one drag element (21) and a second driving wheel unit (16) works in contact with another drag element (21′), thereby moving the carriage (3) and hence the load carrying device (52) in the lateral direction during operation.

The rope and sheave system to control the lifting and lowering of the hoist block provides a balanced fleet through system and the actuating power for the system is provided by a special hydraulic multiplying linear motor mounted in the jib or bridge. The arrangement of the sheaves is such that movement of the multiplying linear motor causes travel of the hoist rope to be balanced about the hoist block with the rope taken in or let out evenly over the trolley sheaves.

    摘要: An apparatus for lowering articles from a building including a tower having a boom extending therefrom. A transfer carriage is slideably mounted on the boom and has a latching mechanism for engagement with an end plate on the boom. The carriage also has a mechanism for engaging a cage as the cage is raised by a cable to the carriage and disengaging the cage when the cage reaches the outer end of the boom. A cable mechanism in cooperation with powered drum members lowers and raises the cage while alternately raising and lowering a second cage which is on a boom with a transfer carriage identical to the first mentioned boom and transfer carriage. The rate of movement of the cable and therefore the rate of travel of the cages is controlled by a hydraulic motor connected to a closed loop conduit, the conduit having an orifice preset to regulate the flow of oil to and from the motor which in turn regulates the speed of the cable drums.

    摘要: An apparatus is provided for the interconnection of two mobile carriages which are connected by a rigid beam and guided along parallel guide rails. The apparatus permits the simultaneous and identical movement, with respect to both direction and distance, of the carriages along the respective guide rails. The apparatus comprises two generally symmetrically disposed cables, each of which is attached at one end to an end of one rail and at its other end to a diagonally opposed end of a parallel rail. Intermediate the attachment points, the cables connect the carriages by resting on and being supported by return pulleys which are integral with the carriages. Each cable thereby describes a generally Z-shaped configuration. The Z-shaped configurations are symmetrically disposed in order to cause, during the displacement of one carriage, the tensioning of one of the cables, and thereby cause the other carriage to be identically and simultaneously displaced.

    摘要: A tension setting system for a remote setting of a tension in a transfer cable ensuring a displacement of a transfer carriage along a jib of a crane, including a winch equipped with a motor cooperating with the cable so as to ensure a displacement of the carriage, a pilot unit connected to the motor to pilot a displacement of the carriage, and a setting mechanical device mounted on the carriage and adapted to be actuated by the action of a displacement of the carriage. The setting mechanical device is coupled to the cable and configurable between a working configuration in which the mechanical device stands still irrespective of the displacement of the carriage and results in a holding of the tension in the cable, and a detent configuration in which, by the action of a displacement of the carriage piloted by the pilot unit according to a first sequence of reciprocating displacement, the mechanical device results in a release of the tension in the cable.

The rope drum is tilted in relation to the horizontal plane in a manner where the first end of the rope drum, towards which the hoisting rope is wound in the hoisting member's upper position, is higher than the rope drum's second end, towards which the hoisting rope is unwound in the hoisting member's lower position.
