    摘要: Sorting devices are successively guided along a sorting line and driven by means of a conveyor system. Each sorting device has a running carriage with running rollers guided in the sorting line's guide rails. In addition, the sorting device contains a means for receiving and ejecting individual parceled articles sent from a loading station. The conveyor system comprises a chain having chain links with flat undersides which are movably connected to each other. The chain links are rigidly connected to each running carriage of the sorting devices and project beyond these sorting devices in a transport direction. The joints between successive chain links are each bridged on their underside by a pre-tensioned leaf spring. The driving means is a friction wheel drive with a friction wheel engaging the chain links on their undersides. In an alternative embodiment of the invention, one chain link is rigidly connected to each of the running carriages of the sorting devices. Here, the conveyor system comprises a friction surface drive with at least three rotating elements each having a contact pressure-applying periphery that revolves about rotation axles. The rotation axles are connected with a rigid carrier and are spaced apart from each other along the sorting line so that the contact pressure-applying periphery of at least two of the rotating elements always non-positively cooperates with the contact pressure-receiving surface of at least one chain link.

The synchronization pulley is for coupling to the drive belt of another conveyor module for the purpose of synchronizing the two conveyor modules. In this conveyor module drive system, the synchronization pulley is mounted outside the drive belt. The drive belt of the other conveyor module can also engage the synchronization pulley while remaining on the outside thereof. With this configuration, synchronizing two conveyor modules does not require an intermediate synchronization belt to be installed.

A hook and loop fastener strip is provided having one of a loop or a hook surface section and a back surface. The hook and loop fastener strip has a first tapered end with a first cutline edge and a second tapered end with a second cutline edge. The hook and loop fastener strip back surface is bonded to the pulley element outer surface with the strip spiral wrapped with the first cutline edge having a length substantially equal to the circumference and positioned substantially at an edge of the pulley element and with the second cutline edge having a length substantially equal to the circumference and positioned substantially at another edge of said pulley element. A composite strip is provided including another hook and loop fastener strip having the other of a loop or a hook surface section and a back surface and a lagging strip with a belt engagement surface and a back surface. The another hook and loop fastener strip back is bonded to the lagging strip back. The composite strip has a first tapered end with a first cutline edge and a second tapered end with a second cutline edge. The composite strip with the other of a loop or a hook surface is connected to the loop or a hook surface section strip to provide a pulley and lagging assembly with the belt engagement surface facing outwardly.
