Abstract:
A locking assembly for a closure system having a first vertical member configured to extend downward along a sidewall of a closure and including a first hook element and a second hook element. A second vertical member having a first hook element and a second hook element is configured to be connected to the first vertical member such that the second vertical member extends downward along an opposite side of the sidewall of the closure from the first vertical member. When the locking assembly is installed on the closure system in a locked position, the first and second vertical members are dimensioned and configured so that the first hook elements are disposed above opposing sides of a top surface of the closure and the second hook elements are disposed beneath opposing sides of the sidewall of the closure for preventing the closure from being removed from the container.
Abstract:
There is provided a container having both male and female sealing regions disposed about its periphery in a pattern making it possible to seal a container with another container having substantially identical sealing regions. The male sealing regions used in the practice of the present invention may take the form of a U-shaped ridge which is undercut along at least one leg of the U. Typically, a container will he thermoformed from lightweight thermoplastic material giving the U-shaped ridge considerable flexibility. The female sealing regions used in the practice of the invention may take the form of an undercut channel adapted to receive and match the undercut U-shaped ridges found in the male portion of the container wherein the walls and base of the channel are sufficiently flexible that the undercut portions of the U-shaped ridge are urged into engagement with the undercut portions of the channel and the crest of the ridge is urged into the channel.
Abstract:
A closing cap for a bottle (2) includes a collar (4) intended to be mounted on the neck (20) of the bottle; a closing hood (60) provided with a top (76) and with a cylindrical side wall (64) capable of being positioned round the collar (4); a rigid shackle (8) having two ends (12a, 14a) connected by a central portion (10), the ends being mounted on the collar for pivoting round an axis (B) so that, by pivoting, the central portion of the shackle (8) comes to bear against the top of the hood; and an elastic part (72) capable of permitting an axial displacement of the top of the hood relative to the shackle (8) and of ensuring the permanent bearing of the top (76) against the shackle (8). The elastic part may be by at least one zone (72) of the elastically deformable hood unitary with the hood (60).
Abstract:
The dispensing device includes a sealing capsule fitted with a dispensing opening (3), the capsule including a clamp (6) having two arms (7) linked by a crosspiece (9), one zone of which serves to close the opening (3), the ends of the arms furthest away from the crosspiece being fitted with articulation parts (A) on a fixed part of the receptacle (1); these articulation parts (A) are designed to allow displacement of the clamp (6) in an axial direction (X--X) in order to distance the crosspiece (9) of the opening (3). The device includes a cam system (c), set in between the arms (7) of the clamp (6) and a fixed part of the receptacle, intended to cause the displacement of the clamp (6) in an axial direction (X--X); the articulation parts (A) of the clamp (6) include a non-circular transversal sectioned axis (16) on each arm, which works together with a window (17) in such a way that, whatever the angle of the axis, the axis (16) and the internal face of the window (17) are sufficiently close to prevent any movement of the clamp in relation to the receptacle, whilst causing the aforementioned displacement in an axial direction.
Abstract:
A portable cooler assembly embodying a reversible lid with a handle actuated latch mechanism for latching the lid in either of its two possible positions. The body portion of the cooler is formed with an upstanding flange around the lid so that the top of the lid is substantially flush with the body of the cooler regardless of how it is placed on the cooler body. The handle is nested between this upstanding flange and the lid when the handle is in a storage position so as to provide an uncluttered appearance and to protect the handle from accidental damage.
Abstract:
A ski equipment securing and carrying device including a body portion having a pair of hingedly interconnected cover segments, each cover segment including a ski receiving portion and ski pole receiving portion provided with yieldable members for respective accommodation therewithin of skis of various widths and thicknesses and ski poles of various diameters, the cover segments being hingedly interconnected for closure together with the ski receiving portion and pole receiving portion of one confronting the respective ski receiving portion and pole receiving portion of the other in cooperative relationship for respective clamped engagement of skis and ski poles within the ski and ski pole cavities by the yieldable members thereof. The cover segments may include latch means for fastening them together in a manner to inhibit removal of skis and poles secured therewithin, and elongated fastening elements may be attached thereto for securement thereof to an immovable object such as a tree or ski rack. The ski equipment carrying device may have a one-piece molded body portion which may be formed of polypropylene.
