In particular, the system includes a plurality of adjacently disposed (side-by-side, end-to-end and stacked) containers that are dimensioned to maximize the available space on a pallet or in a shipping unit. The containers are configured to include a plurality of interlocking or mating portions such as one or more side flanges, teeth or projections, a handle engaging portion or channel, one or more wheel assembly receiving portions, or one or more foot receiving portions. The Interlocking or mating portions are configured to matingly engage or abut corresponding portions of an adjacent container and at least partially restrict movement there between.

The main body has a rib divided and a groove portion between the parts of the rib, the cover has at least two track-shaped coupling grooves into which a rib of a main body of another container of same shape is inserted and which are spaced apart from each other, and has a track-shaped airtight groove in an edge portion of an opposite surface of the cover to allow the coupling grooves to be put therein. An edge of the opening of the main body is inserted into the airtight groove, and a spaced portion between two track-shaped coupling grooves of a cover of another container is inserted into the groove portion of the rib of the main body.

摘要： A dual function two stage draw latch has a first stage loop member pivotally attached at one end to a latch lever pivotally mounted to a base member secured to a wall of a first container. A second stage loop member is pivotally attached to the other end of the first stage loop member. The free end of the second stage loop member is able to engage a catch mounted on a wall of a second container stacked on top of the first container to provide a holding force for the two containers. This free end is also able to engage a catch element mounted on a container lid to hold the lid in place. Electrically conductive strips interconnect the latch and catch to provide electrical interconnection between the containers.

摘要： An interconnecting container system is described. Each container has a rounded rectangular parallelepiped body with four symmetrical sidewalls, a rounded square base and a rounded square top. An elongated sidewall slot is provided on each sidewalls, the slot has a surrounding lip thereby creating an internal edge recess. The sidewall slot has an open end and an adjoining closed end. The adjoining closed end is centrally disposed along a transversal axis of the rectangular sidewall. A similarly constructed elongated base slot is provided on the base. The adjoining closed end of the base slot is centrally disposed on the square base. A neck is centrally provided on the top and extends from the top, it has a surrounding rim and an opening thereon. The rim of the neck and the internal recess of the base slot and the sidewall slot are dimensioned and shaped for sliding and interconnecting engagement.

The packaging can also be translucent or transparent so that the pet food is visible within one or more portions of the packaging. The container system can be constructed from compounds that will protect the food product from harmful ultraviolet light and make it retortable.
