Abstract:
A single-serve coffee package has an outer envelope having one folded edge and three heat-sealed edges, comprising 95% by weight materials that are compostable and demonstrate bio-degradability, a filter bag fully within the outer envelope, having one folded edge and sealed edges, forming a closed envelope having opposite sides, each side comprising one layer of filter material, fully compostable and biodegradable, the filter material exhibiting a plurality of openings through the material, enabling water to pass through, the openings having no dimension exceeding a minimum dimension, a volume of grains of ground coffee within the filter bag, dimensions of the grains precluding coffee grains passing through the openings through the filter material, and an atmosphere of gas within the outer envelope, enveloping the filter bag and the coffee grains, the gas inert relative to materials exposed within the outer envelope.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a manufacturing method for a tea bag folding structure comprising: a fold-to-overlap step and a press-to-fold step. The fold-to-overlap step is to overlap a sheet having a plurality of folding lines and join two opposite side edges thereof, and the press-to-fold step is to open the sheet into a hollow cylinder shape and fold the sheet into a cylindrical folding structure with openings at both ends along the plurality of folding lines. In the manufacturing method, after the tea bag folding structure is formed, one end opening of the tea bag folding structure is closed, the tea bag folding structure is filled with tea leaves, and the other end opening of the tea bag folding structure is closed.
Abstract:
An apparatus for producing packages of infusion products, such as a bag filled with a dosed quantity of a product, a tag and a length of thread attached at opposite ends to the bag and to the tag respectively, includes a closing station of the filled bag, a feeding group of the closed bag and of the tag, a sewing station for sewing each length of thread to the tags and to the bags. and an inlet station to a winding group for winding the stitched length of the thread, around the bag.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pouch and a method for making the same. In the inventive method, which is adapted to produce pouches having a limited amount of fusible material, a heat-sealable cord is arranged on a web forming confronting side surface of each pouch. Those confronting side surfaces are fused by heating the heat-sealable cord. The present invention furthermore provides a pouch, in particular containing a brewable or extractable commodity such as tea, with a pocket defined between confronting side surfaces of a web. The pouch of the present invention can have a limited amount of fusible material as the confronting side surfaces are joined by solidified melt of a heat-sealable cord arranged in vicinity of at least one edge of the pouch.
Abstract:
A film laminate wound up to form a film roll, from which bags with an integrated handle are produced in a VFFS form-fill and seal bag machine. The film laminate is produced by coating a film web of an outer film with a lamination adhesive and applying a material web of a sealable film to the adhesive layer. The material web is pressed together with the film web and adhesive layer in a lamination gap between a lamination roller and a pressing roller. A reinforcement strip passed to the lamination gap contacts the adhesive layer, between the film web and the sealable film. The circumference surface of the pressing roller has a depression that is coordinated with the film thickness and the film width of the reinforcement strip, so that a uniform pressing pressure prevails in the lamination gap, over the entire width of the laminate.
Abstract:
A method for making packs of in each case at least two coupled articles which are held together by a strap wherein said strap is stretched in a horizontally manner about the outer surfaces of the articles. Said strap is laid about the articles during a continuous conveying process and fixed afterwards.A device for handling, conveying, packing and/or palletizing articles, wherein said device includes at least a horizontal conveying means for continuously conveying articles, a device for making packs of in each case at least two grouped and coupled articles as well as a subsequent grouping device for arranging the packs opposite to other packs and for the subsequent making of pallet layers and/or for the preparation of a palletizing afterwards.
Abstract:
One embodiment of an infusion package comprises a prepared raw material compartment (10) formed by sealed partitions (12) and (14) and containing prepared raw material (16). Partition (14) separates compartment (10) from a flotation compartment (18) filled with flotation material (20) to cause the package to float in a liquid. Any floatable material which is inert and harmless in the liquid, or a gas bubble sealed in a liquid-tight bag can serve as flotation material. A sealed package top (22) carries advertising materials, though advertising labels can be attached to its surface as an option. One end of a string (24) is attached to top (22) and the other—to a conventional label (26). The package can be agitated and removed from the liquid with the help of top (22) or string (24). The package can be entirely or in part of a liquid-permeable, heavier-, or lighter-than-liquid, inert and harmless material like paper, fabric, plastic net, perforated plastic film, etc. Other embodiments are described and shown. All embodiments are easy and trouble-free in production, storage and use.
Abstract:
An infusion system for processing a brewing material includes a pouch configured to contain a brewing material, a sealable packet configured to house the pouch, and an attachment member coupled with the pouch and the packet.
Abstract:
This invention concerns an infusion bag, especially for tea, which has a top part with folded down corners and a middle part folded over it, to which a string with two free ends is attached that goes from one side of the top part through a hole in the folded down parts forming a loop on the other side of the top part and comes back, whereby the two free ends are drawn up through the loop laid over the top edge of the infusion bag and pulled to form a knot. The solution in the invention is characterized by the fact that two holes are made in the top part at a lateral distance next to one another, on the left and right of the longitudinal axis of the bag; each hole goes through a folded down corner and the middle of the top part; by the fact that the string forms a loop and one end goes through one hole and the other end through the second hole; by the fact that the loop is laid over the top edge of the infusion bag, and both ends of the string go up through the loop to form a double knot. The invention also concerns a method of closing an infusion bag.
