摘要： A guide track for a strap with which to bind a bale of bulk material. The guide track includes a convex portion and a restraining portion. Two lateral guide track halves are biased together. On their internal faces the guide track section halves have channels. The baling strap or baling wire is driven through the channels and guided around the material to be baled. The channels widen from a small diameter to a wide aperture at the receiving end of the guide track sections for receiving a lead end of a wire or strap that is propelled across a gap from a preceding guide track section.

摘要： A large round baler has an expansible baling chamber defined, in part, by a plurality of side-by-side mounted belts that act to roll up crop to form a bale within the chamber. The baler is equipped with a twine wrapping arrangement which leaves loose twine ends adjacent one of the ends of the wrapped baler. In order to secure these loose ends, there is provided an adhesive tape dispensing arrangement, which cooperates with the bale-forming belt that is aligned with the area of the bale on which the loose twine ends lie, so that a length of adhesive tape is selectively fed into the bale chamber by the bale-forming belt such that it is wrapped about the bale in covering relationship to the loose twine ends. A separating arrangement is provided for causing that part of the length of adhesive tape that is wrapped about the bale to be separated from the supply roll of tape.

摘要： Apparatus and methods for applying flexible straps around objects including a feed and tension unit, a feed drive wheel and a feed pinch wheel, a primary tension drive wheel and a primary tension pinch wheel, and a secondary tension drive wheel and a secondary tension pinch wheel, wherein at least one of the pinch wheels is controllably biased against the respective drive wheel by a solenoid that is controlled in two stages: a first stage that provides a full feed or tensioning force and a second stage that provides a reduced feed or tensioning force by altering the pulse width modulation of the solenoid. In another embodiment, the three sets of wheels of the feed and tension unit are configured to provide a simplified “V-shaped” strap path that reduces bending of the strap, thereby reducing friction and consequent feeding difficulties. In another embodiment, the feed and tension unit includes inner and outer guides that form a strap channel through the feed and tension unit to provide easy access to the strap path for clearing the strap path in the event of a jam. In another embodiment, a track assembly includes a plurality of sections providing modularity of construction. Each section includes a backplate attached to at least one support member, and a slotted cover pivotably attached to the at least one support member proximate the backplate and moveable between an open position spaced apart from the backplate and a closed position proximate the backplate. In another embodiment, a cutting assembly for severing strap material includes a press platen and a cutter having a first cutting blade along a first edge thereof and a second cutting blade along a second edge thereof, the cutter being removably and variably engaged to the press platen.

摘要： A wire tieing system for wrapping and tieing a bale of material with wire comprises a wire guide for guiding a wire around a bale of material and a tieing head configured for receiving portions of a wire in the guide and securing the portions together to thereby tie the wire and therefore tie a bale of material. The tieing head is pivotable with respect to the wire guide and is operable for being pivoted between an operating position proximate the guide and a maintenance position away form the guide. A head pivot assembly maintains the tieing head in the maintenance position. The head pivot assembly comprises a support block and a locating pin which are operably movable to engage a portion of the tieing head when the tieing head is pivoted to the maintenance position to prevent the head from pivoting back to the operating position.

摘要： A tape support for an automatic wrapper includes a main frame and an internal frame. The internal frame is keyed onto the main frame and has four corners. A corner block is keyed to each corner of the main frame. A guide blade assembly is pivotally keyed onto two vertical sides of the main frame, and an adjustment assembly is keyed onto two vertical sides of the main frame. The corner block has three sides. One is concave, and the others form a right angle. The guide blades face each other and wrap around the internal frame. The arms of the adjustment assembly face each other and wrap around the blade assembly. A brush is mounted on the free ends of the adjustment assembly to guide the tape to the middle by its retaining force when the tape passes through the brush.
