摘要： A method for cooking food includes heating a liquid cooking medium in a cooking vessel having a nullUnull-shaped structure having a height is sufficient, with sufficient medium added, to attain a hydrostatic pressure at a predetermined lower depth that is substantially greater than ambient atmospheric pressure. The food is conveyed through the vessel, mostly cooking at the bottom, where the hydrostatic pressure facilitates a cooking of the food at a rate substantially greater than a rate at ambient pressure. A further aspect of the invention is a method for reducing wastewater output and makeup water usage when cooking a food containing a complex carbohydrate. This method causes released complex carbohydrate to cause a lower viscosity increase than at ambient pressure, thereby increasing a cooking effectiveness of the water and reducing a need for adding makeup water and disposing of wastewater.

The microwave steam tray comprises a plastic container having a dish portion and a connected lid. Steam channels are formed between the ribs. The ribs extend radially from a moisture reservoir positioned within the dish interior. The moisture reservoir includes a retaining wall having a cup portion formed within the retaining wall. Recesses are formed within the retaining wall. Liquid based food products may be placed in the moisture cylinder during cooking. Steam generated from the moisture reservoir easily travels down the radial steam channels. Some of the liquid based food product from the reservoir may be allowed to spill from the recesses in the retaining wall to provide a nullvolcano effectnull in the microwave steam tray.

The gas conveys the fluidized powder to the bottom of a container that may have a small mouth or a sophisticated configuration. In particular, the invention provides a blister pack wherein the blister includes a protruding region between the opening and the base, thereby producing a constricted area or nullnecknull in the blister. In a preferred embodiment, the protruding region comprises an inwardly directed annulus formed in the blister wall. Accordingly, vertical movement of the dosage form is confined as a result of the protruding region, thereby reducing the likelihood of damage to the dosage form caused by agitation of the blister pack. The invention is particularly useful in packaging frangible pharmaceutical dosage forms formed in situ within in the blister, such as freeze dried dosage forms and rapidly dissolving oral dosage forms.
