摘要： Some embodiments of the present disclosure include a wearable and steerable sled for descending a sloped surface. The wearable and steerable sled may include a wearable back sled having blades extending therefrom, a pair of wrist controls, and a pair of ankle controls. The wearable back sled may attach to a user's back. The wrist controls may strap to a user's wrists. The ankle controls may strap to a user's angles. The wearable back sled may allow a user to descend a sloped surface by laying on the sloped surface with the wearable back sled positioned between the user and the sloped surface, wherein the wrist controls and the ankle controls may aid the user in steering and controlling speed at which the user descends the sloped surface.

摘要： A snow sled comprising a seating portion that includes a lightweight space frame having a suspension-type seat stretched among the space frame. The sled further includes a steering portion and articulated steering mechanism that links the steering portion to the seating portion. The articulated steering mechanism allows the steering portion to be pivoted laterally relative to the seating portion so as to make the sled readily steerable. A pair of rear skis are removably attachable to the seating portion. The steering portion includes a ski support and a pair of front skis pivotably attached to the ski support. Chatter and movement of the front skis are dampened by a pair of boots that engage the ski support and the respective front skis.

摘要： A steerable toboggan for sledding on snow is disclosed which includes a support having a bottom gliding surface which slides directly on the snow, and a pair of runner arms carrying guide ribs which extend forwardly beyond the gliding surface. Each of the guide ribs includes a curved portion which is vertically movable relative to the other between a raised position, with the curved portion raised above the snow, and a lowered position where the curved portion of the guide rib is brought against the snow. The toboggan is steered by selectively lowering the curved portion of one of the guide ribs onto the snow as the toboggan moves. The bulk of the user's weight is supported by the underlying snow, enabling the support to be formed from thinner less expensive materials, without requiring complex manufacturing processes.

摘要： A ski vehicle includes two front terrain engagement devices, such as front skis, and a rear terrain engagement device, such as a rear ski. The ski vehicle includes a steering assembly having a linkage system. A configuration of the linkage system in combination with rotation of the steering assembly about a single rake axis may advantageously improve the stability, turning efficiency, control, and responsive of the ski vehicle during maneuvers and on sloped surfaces. The linkage system, and possibly in combination with auxiliary linkage loading devices, permits the front skis to operate in parallel and to individually tilt and thrust forward relative to one another.

A first runner and a second runner are connected to the lower housing. These runners are preferably an integral part of the lower housing and may be molded as one part. There is at least one bucket retaining pod and at least one long item retaining port in the storage platform. There is also at least one short item retaining port in the storage platform. An auger retaining platform is connected to the lower housing. There is an auger retaining member removably connected to the auger retaining platform. There is at least one towing port on the auger retaining platform and a towing member is attached to the towing ports. The storage platform also helps support the auger.

摘要： A ski-sledge is disclosed which comprises steering column, a front ski, two guide rods and two rear skis. The front ski is pivoted on the steering column, while both guide rods are connected at their front ends in common with the steering column and at their rear ends to a rear ski coordinated therewith. The connection between rear skis and guide rods is accomplished by first pivot joints comprising annular spring assembly, which are deformable radially and peripherally, but substantially rigid in directions transverse to the annulus plane. Second pivot joints comprising similar annular spring assemblies serve for connection between guide rods and the steering column. However, the latter spring assemblies are nearly rigid in radial direction. Due to these features the ski-sledge is easier and more precisely to ride and generally better to handle.
