摘要: Provided is a pneumatic tire which is configured so as to prevent carcass cords from biting into an inner liner, thereby improving the durability performance of the tire. A pneumatic tire (1) is provided with a carcass (6) which comprises, a carcass ply (11) extending from a tread (2) through side walls (3) to the bead cores (5) of bead sections (4), the bead cores (5) each including an inner core (14) and an outer core (15). The carcass, ply (11) is sandwiched between the inner cores (14) and the outer cores (15). Each of an inner core (14) and an outer core (15) includes a bead cord (16) which is wound at least one turn in the circumferential direction of the tire. Each of the bead cords (16) includes an outermost layer (18) formed by twisting filaments (17) together. In at least one bead section, the outermost layer (18) of the bead cord (16) of each of the inner core (14) and the outer core (15) is twisted in the direction which allows the carcass ply (11) to easily move to the outside in the radial direction of the tire from between the inner core (14) and the outer core (15).

A runflat tire according to the present invention comprises a carcass 4 toroidally extending over a pair of beads 5, a pair of sidewall portions 6 and a tread portion 7, and a reinforcing rubber layer 8 which has a crescent sectional shape and is arranged at the interior surface side of the carcass 4. The carcass 4 comprises at least one cord layers 3 including radial cord portions 15, which are radially-arrayed at a circumferential pitch P, and circumferential cord portions 16, which circumferentially connect respective inner ends of adjacent radial cord portion 15.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a carcass structure for vehicle tires includes the steps of making at least one carcass ply by deposition of elongated sections circumferentially distributed on a toroidal support and applying annular reinforcing structures to a region close to inner circumferential edges of the at least one carcass ply. Each of the elongated sections extends in a U-shaped configuration around a cross-sectional outline of the toroidal support to define two side portions mutually spaced apart in an axial direction and one crown portion extending at a radially outer position between the side portions. Each of the elongated sections is laid down substantially in a plane parallelly offset relative to a meridian plane of the toroidal support. A related carcass structure and tire are also disclosed.

The carcass ply is formed from one or more cords wound continuously between a first end and a second end, wherein the at least the first end of the carcass ply is located in one tire bead portions. In the bead portion of the tire, the carcass ply cords are interwoven among a plurality of bead wires. The interwoven carcass ply cords follow a zigzag path.

The at least one carcass ply includes a first and a second series of strip segments consecutively arranged along a circumferential development of a toroidal support and including at least two filiform elements, positioned longitudinally and parallel to each other, at least partially coated by at least one layer of raw elastomer material. The annular reinforcing structures include at least one primary portion and at least one additional portion. The at least one primary portion includes a first circumferential-inextensible annular insert, a filling body, and at least one second circumferentially-inextensible annular insert. The at least one additional portion comprises at least one third circumferentially-inextensible annular insert. The annular inserts are each formed by at least one elongated element extending in concentric turns.
