    摘要: Method for continuously forming a corrugated web of thermoplastic material in which the corrugations extend diagonally across the web. The web is first softened by heat and then passed to a molding belt which moves in an endless path while supporting and advancing the web in a longitudinal direction. The molding belt is provided with grooves corresponding to the corrugations in the web. The corrugations are formed initially by poking the softened web progressively into the grooves without stretching the web to any substantial degree. The thus initially formed corrugations are thereafter drawn into the grooves and retained therein by applying suction to the bottom side of the molding belt.

    摘要: Apparatus for so-called "in-line" production of hollow articles of thermoplastic material, by blowing or vacuum moulding a sheet strip produced continuously from an extruder and subsequent stamping of the separate articles. The mould tool consists of at least two mould half portions, which is moved along a rectilinear guide and substantially synchronously with the plastic strip. The guide for the mould tool and the direction of the sheet strip extend obliquely downwardly from the extruder nozzle, preferably at an angle to the horizontal plane of 30.degree.-60.degree. . In the zone of the guide path where the mould half portions open, stationary gripping fingers are arranged on both sides of the sheet strip. The fingers are adapted to engage the longitudinal edges of the sheet strip immediately prior to the mould half portions, being separated and to absorb the sheet strip while the mould tool returns for enclosure of a new portion of sheet strip.

    摘要: A machine for fabricating cylindrical granules of pasty materials which are used as a catalyst in conducting chemical processes. The machine comprises an extruder and a moulding device consisting of a throw-off drum incorporating radial blades extending longitudinally along the drum, the string of pasty material being fed between the blades by the extender. A ratchet gear is connected to an electromagnet and serves for rotating the drum, the ratchet gear being mounted at one end of the shaft of the drum. Located adjacent the extruder is a cutting assembly for cutting off the moulded string between the extruder and the throw-off drum, the cutting assembly being connected to a drive gear so that the cutting of the string takes place prior to its being thrown off the drum blades. Thus, the string is fed to the disc knives so that its axis and the axis of the shaft of the knives are held parallel enabling the granules to be cut into regular shape.

    摘要: A method for altering the configuration of a series of containers produced in a mold such that the containers can be nested together without sticking. A first container is made by differential pressure forming a thermoplastic sheet in a mold having means for forming stacking lugs in the surface of the container. The means forming the stacking lugs are then automatically altered in position so as to present a mold having a different configuration at the surface where the stacking lugs are formed and a second container is formed in the mold. The containers are then nested and the stacking lugs of different configuration prevent sticking together of the containers.
