Abstract: A handheld punching device includes an operating grip pivotably connected to a holding grip to have a loading end turned in an up-down direction, a transmitting lever pivotably connected to the loading end to transmit a torque to turn a driving end, a punching seat pivotably connected to the holding grip and defining a cutting space for receiving a workpiece to be punched, and a plurality of punch units disposed between the driving end and the punching seat and each having a punch head movably and fittingly disposed in the punching seat along a straight path in the up-down direction, and a press head in abutting engagement with the driving end to be moved by the torque and to drive movement of the punch head through the cutting space for creating a hole in the workpiece.

Abstract: A hand-held knockout punch driver includes a housing, a motor, a drive assembly with an output member movable relative to the housing, and a head unit removably coupled to the housing. The head unit includes a body, an input member movable relative to the body, and a draw rod to which a punch or a die is attachable. The draw rod is configured to move axially relative to the body in response to movement of the input member relative to the body. The knockout punch driver also includes a quick-release mechanism to removably couple the body to the housing. The output member is configured to engage the input member such that the input member moves relative to the body in response to movement of the output member relative to the housing, and the body engages the quick release mechanism separately from engagement between the output member and the input member.

Abstract: A perforation apparatus for use with cable jackets and related systems and methods thereof is provided. The tool includes a pliers assembly having at least a first jaw member positioned opposing a second jaw member, wherein relative movement of the first and second jaw members is controlled with at least a first handle and a second handle. A first knife edge is on the first jaw member and a second knife edge is on the second jaw member. Each of the first and second knife edges are oriented substantially parallel to one another and substantially perpendicular to a length of first and second handles. The first and second knife edges are movable towards one another. A spacing device is connected to the pliers assembly, wherein the spacing device controls a closing distance between the first knife edge and the second knife edge.

Abstract: A punch tool is provided that is adapted to create a pair of spaced apart apertures through a thin-walled work piece when clamped. The device comprises a hand tool having a pair of handles and a tool head comprising a first head portion and a second head portion. The head portions pivot away from each other and bear against one another based on movement of the handles to compress a sheet of material therebetween. The head portions are T-shaped members, in which the first head portion supports a pair of dies and the second head portion supports a pair of punches adapted to be received by the dies. The head portions are clamped together, whereby the dies are punched through the work piece sheet material to form spaced apart apertures. An embodiment of the head portions contemplates an adjustable width for varying the spacing of the punches.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a method of using a punch for cutting one or more collar stays directly from an identification card. The punch includes a holding portion positioned on one side of the identification card and a die or blade portion aligned with the held identification card. The holding portion has a corresponding recess formed therein in the shape of a collar stay. When the punch is aligned with the recess in the holding portion and the two halves are brought together with an identification card therebetween, a collar stay is punched out of the identification card material. The identification card may be positioned such that the resultingly produced collar stay prominently displays a portion of the identification card logo (i.e. Visa®, Mastercard®, or the like), includes the security hologram, includes the name of the card holder, etc. In this way, the collar stay may be customized or made to have a pleasing design element.
