    摘要: A nipper, components thereof, and associated methods. The nipper includes first and second jaws, and first and second levers connected to respective ones of the jaws. The jaws are pivotable about a pivot axis to move cutting edges of the jaws toward and away from each other. The jaws and levers have a keyed connection for conjoint pivoting of the respective jaws and levers about the pivot axis. A retainer is configured to retain the cutting edges in a closed arrangement. The nipper includes a poker for cleaning paint from an eyelet of a lure or fishing hook. The poker is movable between stowed and deployed positions with respect to a lever of the nipper.

    摘要: A sewer's multi-tool assembly for performing multiple sewing tasks with a single tool includes a pair of scissors that is hingedly coupled together for cutting fabric. A pair of magnets is provided and each of the magnets is coupled to a respective one of the scissors. Each of the magnets magnetically engages a sewing machine when the scissors are positioned on the sewing machine. In this way the scissors are inhibited from falling off the sewing machine. A pair of grips is each coupled to a respective one of the scissors for transporting the object without cutting the object. Each of the grips is spaced apart from each other when the scissors are closed such that neither of the grips impedes the scissors from closing and thusly cutting. A seam ripper is coupled to a respective one of the grips for ripping seams.

The mechanism includes: a holding recess at the end of one grip; an engaging recess at the end of the other grip; a ring component removably and rotatably disposed in the holding recess, which engages with the engaging recess placing the grips in the closed state; and a catch for removably and rotatably inserting the ring component in the holding recess. The holding recess and the catch hold the ring component oriented away from the other grip when the ring component is disengaged from the engaging recess. When the hand-operated tool is used, the releasing of the ring component from the locked state causes the ring component to be held between the holding recess and the catch in an orientation in which the ring component does not contact the other grip.
