摘要： A linear ratchet drive mechanism operable single handedly for pivotally actuating one or more plier jaws in a diverging or converging direction for gripping objects under extreme pressure. A drive rod is received in a handle body for axial movement with one end of the drive rod pivotally linked to the jaw or jaws in order to actuate the jaws. An actuating lever is pivotally connected at one end to the handle body and extends from the handle body for single hand actuation by squeezing the lever against spring biased towards the handle body. The actuating lever is provided with a leverage arm that extends from the pivoting end of the actuating lever and is pivotally connected to a drive grip lever having an aperture surrounding the drive rod for binding against the drive rod for thereby driving the drive rod in one direction when the drive grip lever is canted and moved by squeezing the actuating lever. An incremental stop mechanism is also provided to quickly retain the jaw spacing after initial use of the device.

摘要： A purpose is to render a gripping operation of grip tabs more stable. A hose clamp includes a clamp body formed by bending a plate spring into an annular shape while two ends of the plate spring are caused to cross each other on a circumferential plane and grip tabs formed to be raised radially outward from both ends of the clamp body, respectively. An expanded-diameter state of the clamp body is retained when a locking claw is locked by a catch. The clamp body is released from the expanded-diameter state when a gripping operation is further carried out in this state. The second grip tab has a distal end formed to be wider than a distal end of the first grip tab. The distal ends of the grip tabs are bent in respective directions in which the distal ends depart from each other with respect to a thicknesswise direction, thereby serving as bent portions for the gripping operation, respectively.

摘要： A cam activated clamp enables a user with joint pain in hands and wrists to firmly hold an object in place for twisting. The cam activated clamp includes a base frame attached to a counter gripper which is immediately adjacent to a main gripper. The main gripper can travel along a central axis toward the counter gripper unless a locking plate holds the main gripper in a fixed position on the base frame. The user can rotationally activate a cam in order to unlock the main gripper. This allows the user with the joint pain in the hands and wrists to insert the object between the main gripper and the counter gripper and then slide the main gripper proximate the counter gripper and lock the main gripper in place by rotating a cam distant a locking plate which holds the object in place for twisting.
