摘要： In a method, when using a single-grip harvester head for felling and processing trees, of controlling the press power which, by means of a limbing knife assembly (6), is exerted on a stem (3) which is horizontally fed through th head with its butt end first, the diameter of the stem is measured and the press power is reduced in accordance with a control diagram as the diameter decreases during the feeding. The measured diameter values are registered, and each measured diameter value is compared with a predetermined diameter value which is selected from the diameter values of the stem (3) which are previously registered during the feeding of the stem. If a measured diameter value is found to equal or be greater than this predetermined diameter value, the press power is increased to a corrective power value, which is maintained until a later measured diameter value falls below a reference value.

The accurate offset amounts are determined from the measured values and amounts of movement. Image light of the tool and reference member is conducted to the position detection camera by prisms and half-mirror, without a camera for detecting the amount of deviation between the tool and reference member.

摘要： An automated planer machine for planing a piece of lumber. The planer machine has a feed table for slidably receiving the bottom surface of the piece of lumber along a traveling course. One or more planing heads extend on sides of the traveling course to plane the surfaces of the piece of lumber. A linebar laterally guides the piece of lumber. Feed rolls along the traveling course move the piece of lumber. Positioning devices responsive to respective control signals are provided for adjusting a height of the feed table and planing levels of the planing heads as much when the planer machine is idle as during operation. Position encoders coupled to the feed table and the planing heads produce positional signals usable to accurately position them using the positioning devices.

A characteristic of the slack wire configuration is sensed to control the amount wire supplied. In this manner, the mass and rotational effects of unwinding wire from a spool while simultaneously advancing that wire are avoided, thereby avoiding wire slippage and allowing the constituent components of the connector, such as bulges of a twist pin connector, to be more precisely located during fabrication.

摘要： A four-direction adjustable optical module including a carriage and a CCD module is disclosed. The carriage includes a coupling window for coupling with the CCD module. Each of the two sides of the CCD module includes a screw hole and an elastic device. The elastic device slightly protrudes from the surface of the coupling window. While the CCD module and the coupling window are coupled, screws are employed to screw through the CCD module and into the screw holes of the coupling windows. Therefore, the elastic devices deform by the stress from the CCD module. By adjusting the tightness of the screws, the orientation of the CCD module rotating on the Z axis can be calibrated. Thus, the adjustable optical module of the invention can be calibrated at least in four directions.
