摘要: The molten metal injector system includes a holder furnace containing a supply of molten metal. A casting mold is supported above the holder furnace. The mold defines a mold cavity for receiving molten metal from the holder furnace. One or more molten metal injectors is supported from the bottom side of the mold. The injector is in fluid communication with the mold cavity and includes a reciprocating piston for pumping molten metal upward from the holder furnace and injecting the molten metal into the mold cavity. The injector is partially submerged in molten metal when the holder furnace contains molten metal. The injector includes a molten metal intake for receiving molten metal into the injector. The molten metal intake is located below the surface of the molten metal in the holder furnace.

摘要: A metal flow system, for use in casting aluminium alloy using a pressure casting machine, is provided by a component of a die or mould assembly, for the machine, which defines a die cavity. The component defines at least part of an alloy flow path for the flow of aluminium alloy from a pressurized source of substantially molten aluminium alloy of the machine to the die cavity. The flow includes at least one runner and a controlled expansion port, referred to also as a CEP, which has an inlet through which the CEP is able to receive aluminium alloy from the runner and an outlet through which aluminium alloy is able to flow from the CEP for filling the die cavity. The CEP increases in cross-sectional area from the inlet to the outlet thereof to cause substantially molten alloy received into the runner to undergo a substantial reduction in flow velocity in its flow through the CEP whereby the aluminium alloy flowing through the CEP attains a viscous or semi-viscous state which is retained in filling the die cavity. A pressure casting machine includes the metal flow system, while the system also is used in a process for pressure casting of aluminium alloys.

摘要: The invention is directed to a method for casting a forged material and a mold usable therefor. A finished metal product which is free from the internal defects is manufactured by solidifying a forged material in a specified direction, with concentrating the defects in the riser portion of the mold for casting a forged material. The finished metal product having a lightweight is produced with a less cost, resultantly, carbon dioxide discharged from the automobiles is reduced, thereby the present invention can contribute to environmental protection measures such as preventing global warming.

摘要: The method relies on the simultaneous filling of mold (1) from its bottom through main casting gutter (3) and rising of molten metal (2) in a secondary gutter (6) which branches off from the start of casting gutter (3), with said molten metal (2) rising in secondary gutter (6) in the same amount as in mold (1), so that when the latter is full the main casting gutter (3) is sealed and feeding from the secondary gutter (6) continues, causing it to overflow and fill the corresponding feed head (5) provided on top of mold (1), with secondary gutter (6) communicating at the top with said feed head (5) so that once said feed head is full secondary gutter (6) is sealed. In this manner, the most liquid metal will reach the top part of mold (1) and may be fed to it to compensate contraction of the metal as it cools. A further object of the invention is the device (7) which seals the main casting gutter (3) and the secondary gutter (6), with these two sealing devices (7) being identical and independent.

摘要: A method for filling a ladle cup of a ladle assembly with molten aluminum to reduce formation of aluminum oxides. The ladle cup is rotated into alignment with an axis of a ladle arm, which carries the ladle cup, such that a plane defined by the ladle cup rim is generally parallel to the ladle arm axis and the opening of the ladle cup faces parallel to a surface of the molten aluminum. The ladle cup is inserted into the bath of molten aluminum while maintained in alignment with the ladle arm axis. When the ladle cup reaches its final position within the bath of molten aluminum, the ladle cup is rotated to a desired angular orientation, which corresponds to a desired shot weight, and then is raised out of the molten aluminum while being retained in the desired angular orientation.

摘要: An apparatus and method for pressure casting a battery part wherein an extendible piston includes sidewalls for shutting off the supply of molten lead and an impact surface that extends in a side-to-side condition to form an end surface of a battery part cavity so that when the extendible piston is brought into an intensifying condition the extendible piston shuts off further supply of molten metal while a heat source maintains the lead in a molten state as the impact surface of the piston forms a side-to-side mold cavity surface to complete the mold cavity surface thereby eliminating unevenness in the surface of the finished battery part by generating a force with the extendible piston which is sufficient to form a battery part so that upon removal from the mold the batter part is substantially free of tears and cracks as well as surface irregularities.

摘要: An apparatus and process is provided for producing semi-solid material and directly casting the semi-solid material into a component wherein the semi-solid material is formed from a molten material and the molten material is introduced into a container. Semi-solid is produced therefrom by agitating, shearing, and thermally controlling the molten material. The semi-solid material is maintained in a substantially isothermal state within the container by appropriate thermal control and thorough three-dimensional mixing. Extending from the container is a means for removing the semi-solid material from the container, including a temperature control mechanism to control the temperature of the semi-solid material within the removing means.

摘要: The invention relates to a device for producing castings from flowable or strewable starting material. Said device comprises an injection unit, out of which the at least partially liquefied material can be injected into a casting mold. The injection unit has an inlet opening for supplying the material, and the injection unit has a chamber with two moveable walls. These walls can either be moved together in one direction or in opposite directions in such a manner that the volume of the interior of the chamber can be altered as desired and/or the interior of the chamber can he displaced, whereby one or both walls form a portion of the wall delimiting the mold cavity. The invention provides that both walls each form a portion of the wall delimiting the mold cavity, whereby one of the walls can be guided into the casting mold.
