    摘要: A method and apparatus for thixotropic molding of semisolid alloys are disclosed. The method comprises of feeding a dendritic-free feedstock bar into an extruder barrel, melting a terminal portion of the feedstock bar into a semisolid slurry by heating it to a temperature between its solidus and liquidus temperatures, and using the solid portion of the feedstock bar as an one-time nullplungernull to inject the semisolid slurry into a mold cavity. The apparatus based on the present method, which is equipped without a regular extruder screw or plunger, uses a feedstock bar as a one-time plunger to inject semisolid slurries formed from a terminal portion of the same feedstock bar.

    摘要: There is provided a method of injection molding a metal part and an injection molding apparatus which reduces or eliminates drooling of metal from a nozzle. The method includes the steps of (A) separating an injection nozzle of an injection chamber from contacting a mold surface, (B) retracting a plunger in the injection chamber to create a suction in the injection chamber, (C) closing an inlet to the injection chamber to seal the injection chamber, (D) maintaining melted metal in the injection chamber with a pressure difference and surface tension without substantial drooling from the injection nozzle, (E) placing the injection nozzle in contact with the mold surface and (F) advancing the plunger in the injection chamber to inject the metal into the mold.

    摘要: A die-casting machine provided with a sleeve through which molding material is injected into a cavity formed by a pair of mold dies, an injection plunger slidably mounted in the sleeve, an injection cylinder having an injection piston connected through a piston rod with the injection plunger, and a boost cylinder formed with an inner diameter larger than that of the injection cylinder and mounted adjacent to the injection cylinder thereon in a side opposite to the piston rod, wherein the injection cylinder and boost cylinder are communicated with a conduit connected to each hydraulic chamber on a piston rod side of the cylinders and connected to a flow rate control valve arranged on a side of meter out with respect to the cylinders, thereby controlling a speed of the injection plunger in accordance with a flow rate of pressurized oil flowing in said valve, wherein the machine further provides a switching valve for supplying pressurized oil to the boost cylinder when reaction forces acting on the injection plunger during an injection operation exceeds a predetermined value and wherein the boost cylinder has a piston stroke at least equal to the injection plunger stroke corresponding to a volume of the cavity.

    摘要: Low-melting point metallic material is designed to be able to melt with an inclined melting cylinder installed in the condition of combining an injection member with an agitating member therein, and a molten metal is designed to be able to weigh and inject by a plunger, whereby molding accuracy and efficiency can be improved more than a die-cast. A injection mechanism 2 is constituted by a melting cylinder 11 which a weighing chamber 17 communicating with a nozzle member 15 is provided on the inside of the tip, agitating and injection means provided in the combined condition in the melting cylinder so as to rotate or, advance or retreat freely and a device driving agitating and injection means, which is arranged on an rear-end side of the melting cylinder. The injection mechanism 2 is provided obliquely in a manner that a nozzle member side is directed in a downward direction to a mold-clamping mechanism 1. The agitating and injection means is constituted by an agitating member 24 in which agitating wings having a plurality of stripes with an external diameter approximately equal to an inner diameter of the melting cylinder are formed intermittently on an outer periphery of a tip portion of a hollow shaft portion 23 having a through-hole at the central position and an injection plunger 30 attached unitarily to a tip of an injection rod 29 inserted into the through-hole and provided slidably freely on a central position of the agitating member 21 and provided so as to insert into the weighing chamber 17 freely.
