Abstract:
A hydraulic power tool is provided including a rivet squeezer comprising two opposing surfaces, a hydraulic cylinder configured to move the surfaces between an open position and a compressed position, a hydraulic pump configured to provide hydraulic pressure to actuate the hydraulic cylinder in a first direction, and an air tank configured to provide pneumatic pressure to actuate the hydraulic cylinder in a second direction. Actuation of the hydraulic cylinder in the first direction causes the surfaces to move from the open position to the compressed position and actuation of the hydraulic cylinder in the second direction causes the surfaces to move from the compressed position to the open position.
Abstract:
A power tool for joining a deformable element having a threaded shaft to a workpiece. The joining tool comprising a threaded dowel adapted to receive the threaded shaft and rotatably within the housing. A nose is arranged around the threaded dowel, and the dowel is slidably movable relative to the nose. A motor drives a drive train to rotate the threaded dowel. A hydraulic system drives another drive train to move the threaded shaft and compress the deformable element. The joining tool includes a sliding unit. The nose is attachable to the sliding unit, and in an attached position the nose is slidably connected to the housing so that the hydraulic system may move the nose axially to compress the deformable element.
Abstract:
A staking tool is disclosed. The staking tool may include a main body, at least one punch disposed within the main body, and an actuator in mechanical communication with the at least one punch. The actuator may be configured to drive the at least one punch from a first position to a second position.
Abstract:
A rivet gun has a barrel, a handle, an annular flange, a pneumatic cylinder and a piston assembly. The handle protrudes downward from the barrel. The annular flange protrudes radially from the bottom end of the handle and has a bottom surface and a rotational angle alignment slot defined eccentrically in the bottom surface. The pneumatic cylinder is mounted under the handle and the annular flange and has a body and a top cover mounted on a top opening of the body and having a rotational angle alignment element mounted eccentrically on a top of the top cover and detachably engaging the rotational angle alignment slot of the annular flange. The piston assembly is mounted in the pneumatic cylinder. The rotational angle alignment slot and the rotational angle alignment element are both at least partially exposed to be visually observed from an appearance of the fully assembled rivet gun.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a continuous riveter capable of firing blind rivets in succession to caulk sheet metal or the like. A seal member 71 located on the oil chamber 6 side and a seal member 72 located on the air chamber 4 side are provided in an oil cylinder 1 where an oil piston 2 separates the oil chamber 6 of the oil cylinder 1 from the air chamber 4 of an air cylinder 3, and a portion of the oil cylinder 1 which is between seal members 71 and 72 is provided with an air vent 19; and a seal member 74, 76 located on the oil chamber 16 side and a seal member 73, 77 located on the air chamber 14, 15 side are provided in a jaw case piston 20 and in a nose piston 28, the seal members 74, 76 and 73, 77 sealing an area between the oil chamber 16 and the air chamber 14, 15, and the pistons 20 and 28 between the seal members 74, 76 and 73, 77 are each provided with an air vent 75, 78.
Abstract:
A structure of rivet nut gun having a body, a handle and a pressure cylinder. The top of the handle is furnished with a mounting base having a through cylindrical hole. The lower end of the handle is furnished with a base surface for mounting the fastening disk. The body has a connector mounted with a connecting rod to penetrate through the cylindrical hole of the handle. The fastening disk is fastened to one end of the connecting rod by a nut. The fastening disk is connected with two symmetrical screw rods, which penetrate through the piston and the pressure cylinder, and are fastened to the bottom of the pressure cylinder by two nuts respectively so as to have the piston cylinder fastened in place and to prevent the pressure cylinder from deformation during the rivet nut gun operating.
Abstract:
A rivet setting tool is provided with a mandrel collection system. The mandrel collection system uses a valve system to provide high and low vacuum states to draw rivet mandrels into a collection bottle. The low vacuum state provides an energy savings and reduced noise levels.
Abstract:
A portable pneumatic tool includes a housing composed of two symmetric half shells or several partially cut-away shells; an air inlet module unit, a valve actuating module unit and an operating (or functioning) module unit fluidically communicated with one another and connected with flexible hoses among the module units; and a shock-absorbing unit retained between the operating module unit and the housing; whereby upon embedding or fixation of all the module units into the corresponding cavities in the shells and upon combination of the shells, a portable pneumatic tool will be instantly obtained having advantages of light weight, shock-absorbable property, easy assembly, lower production cost and convenient maintenance.
Abstract:
In a fastener installation tool which is pneumatically powered to instal a blind rivet or bolt by a relative pulling action, a pneumatic/hydraulic intensifier (12, 13) is included to actuate hydraulically the pulling stroke of a head piston (22) which provides the relative pulling action. It is desirable to design such tools so that they have increased levels of safety for the persons using and operating them. In such a tool, there is provided a safety device including a valve for disabling the supply of air to one side of a pneumatic piston and cylinder device (15) and a push-rod (51) operative connected to the valve and extending along the inside of the air supply conduit The push rod normally contacts the displaceable end (43) of the cylinder when the displaceable end is in its safe position so as to operate the valve to allow the supply of air to the pneumatic chamber. The push-rod is movable, when the displaceable end of the cylinder is displaced from its safe position, to operate the valve so as to disable the supply of air under pressure to the cylinder on the aforesaid side of the piston.
Abstract:
A power tool having shock absorbing material secured along the threads of threaded components. The shock absorbing material is nylon and is applied in either nib or patch arrangements.
