Abstract:
In an electronic device comprising a first electrodes consisting of a metal oxide and a second electrode consisting of an aluminum alloy film directly contacted and electrically connected to the first electrode, the contact interface between the aluminum alloy film and the first electrode is constructed so that at least a part of alloy components constituting the aluminum alloy film exist as a precipitate or concentrated layer. This construction enables direct contact between the aluminum alloy film and the electrode consisting of a metallic oxide and allows elimination of a barrier metal in such an electronic device, and manufacturing technology therefor.
Abstract:
A collision repair rack is provided. The rack includes a platform and a plurality of pivotally mounted arms which arms and associated pulling towers can be moved to positions on either side of the rack in addition to being positionable at an end of the rack. The arms are mounted in a manner to allow the arms to remain generally in the same plane while providing a high degree of freedom of movement of the arms.
Abstract:
The present invention aims to provide a vehicle repairing device capable of pulling out a damaged portion to a predetermined position safely and easily. A device for pulling out a damaged portion of a panel surface to a normal position includes a first puller having a first fixing portion to be fixed to the damaged portion and adapted to pull up the first fixing portion in a state in which it is fixed to a predetermined range of the damaged portion, and a second puller having a second fixing portion to be fixed to the damaged portion and adapted to pull up the second fixing portion in a state in which it is further locally fixed to the damaged portion of the panel surface to be pulled up by the first puller.
Abstract:
A sheet metal forming tool is designed to remove raised eyebrows surrounding dents in the body of a vehicle before the dent itself is pulled back to a flush configuration. The tool comprises a pneumatic hammer driver provided with a special attachment having a body and a plastic head. The head is formed of plastic and is configured to define a ring-shaped support base that surrounds a dome-shaped hammer pad. A hammer within the tool impacts the back of the hammer pad at a frequency of between 2000 and 5000 impacts per minute, each impact moving the hammer pad slightly outwardly with respect to the plane of the support base. In use, the head is placed over an eyebrow to be treated with the support base resting on the surface surrounding the eyebrow and the hammer pad overlying the eyebrow. The tool is then actuated and moved along the eyebrow until it is bent back down flush with the surrounding surface.
Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to weld a hollow-shaped material from one side, regardless of the size accuracy of the hollow-shaped material or the like, and to form the joint with higher strength. Projecting segments 12b, 22b of face plates of hollow-shaped materials 10, 20 are friction stir welded from above. Next, a connecting material 30 is placed on the upper face plates 11, 21 of the hollow-shaped materials 10, 20, and is friction stir welded from above. The welding region exists at the node between a rib connecting the two face plates 11, 12 (21, 22) and the face plate 11 (21,). The joint of the connecting material 30 and the face plates 11, 21 are lap joint. Not butt joint. Therefore, the hollow-shaped materials could be welded with ease, even though there exists manufacturing tolerance, or tolerance in arrangement of the hollow-shaped materials 10, 20.
Abstract:
A sheet metal dent removing device for combining a drill and a slide hammer used for removing dents. The sheet metal dent removing device includes an electric drill. The electric drill includes a body having a distal end, a proximal end and a peripheral wall extending between. A handle extends from the peripheral wall and is positioned generally adjacent to the proximal end. An actuating means turns the electric drill on and off. A shaft is elongate and has a first end and a second end. The first end of the shaft extends into the distal end of the body. The electric drill is adapted to rotate the shaft. A drill bit has a first end and a second end. The first end tapers to a point and the length of the drill bit is threaded. A coupling means removably couples the drill bit to the second end of the shaft. A slide hammer comprises a tubular member having an aperture extending therethrough. The shaft extends through the tubular member such that the tubular member is movably positioned on the shaft between the electric drill and the first end of the shaft.
Abstract:
A system (20) for anchoring a vehicle frame (22) to a platform (24) utilizes a variety of securement components (34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48) to secure the vehicle frame (22) from movement at desired locations while the vehicle frame (22) is being aligned with pulling forces applied by pulling towers (26). The securement components (34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48) are held on cross beams (28, 30) which mount to anchoring stands (32), and the anchoring stands (32) are attached to the platform (24). The securement components include a rail vise (34), a C-channel clamp (36), a leafspring shackle (38), L-clamps (40,41), a slide plate (42), ahole adapter (44), a tie-down ratchet assembly (46), and a turnbuckle assist (48). The rail vise has two guide channels (78, 80) which slidably receive guide pins (114) therein. The guide pins (114) extend from a front movable clamp leg (74). The leaf spring shackle (38) includes an L-shaped base plate (152) and a clamp member (154), which cooperate to clamp a mounting bracket (158) of a leaf spring (176) therebetween. The hold adapter (44) includes a reference hole insert (216) sized and configured to fit in a reference hole (226) of the vehicle frame (22) with slip clearance. The hole adapter (44) also includes an adapter ring (232) for larger reference holes (230). The tie-down ratchet assembly (46) includes a tie-down strap (244) and a ratchet mechanism (248) which is operative to incrementally tension the strap (244).
Abstract:
A continuous in-drawing line process and system for drawing stainless steel wire is provided wherein wire is (1) brushed in an inlet brush station to remove oxide film from the wire surface; (2) coated with a lubricant carrier coating which is dried then subsequently cooled; (3) drawn through a drawing machine using a lubricant; and (4) brushed to remove residual carrier compounds from the surface of the drawn wire. The system for carrying out this process includes a wire payoff; an inlet brush station having two pairs of brushes that rotate in a direction opposite to that of the wire to remove oxide film therefrom; a coating device; a dryer; a cooler; a drawing machine; first and second outlet brush stations each having two pairs of brushes that rotate in a direction opposite to that of the wire to remove residual drawing compounds therefrom; and a wire take-up device.
