摘要： A mechanical projector for use with an existing table bowling game allows players a choice of speeds at which a projectile is launched along a lane towards a target. This launcher may comprise a relatively soft speed-up roller rotatable about an axis transverse to the lane. Preferred versions of the projector have a ball-clearing mechanism that moves a returning ball, rolling from the target zone toward the player, off to one side of the alley so that the returning ball can bypass the projector and be returned to the player. In addition, a preferred version of the projector may be moved out of its normal operating position to allow for conventional unassisted play.

摘要： Method and apparatus for controlling and operating the return ball lift mechanism in a bowling alley. In a preferred embodiment the motor which drives the lifting belt is normally inoperative and it is actuated when a ball arrives to be lifted into the storage rack. A photo detector is utilized to detect the presence of the returning ball and provision is made to actuate the motor for a total of four seconds. In the event a second ball arrives before the end of four seconds, timing begins all over again. A feature of the invention is the elimination of a centrifugally operated switch to control the START winding of the motor as a solid state timer controls the operation of both windings of the motor.

摘要： A rear filler pad assembly for an automatic pinspotter bowling machine is formed of two ribbed attaching segments and a grommet receiving segment having elongated serrated slots. Each slot has a wide opening at one end thereof into which a grommet is inserted. The grommet is then moved along the slot until it is in registration with the associated ball kicker shaft. The narrow portion of each slot holds the grommet firmly in place.
