摘要： A vacuum cleaner including a cleaner body having a motor chamber in which a vacuum motor is mounted and a dust-collecting chamber which is divided from the motor chamber by a partition and is in fluid communication with the motor chamber via a passage path formed on the partition, the dust-collecting chamber being provided with an air inflow hole formed at a side thereof and having access to the outside. Either a disposable paper filter or a reusable filter act as a dust-collecting means and are selectively mounted in the dust-collecting chamber of the cleaner body, for separating and collecting the dust and dirt from the air that is drawn in through the air inflow hole. The dust collecting chamber is provided with a filter supporting means for stably supporting either of the paper filter or the reusable filter. The filter supporting means includes a pair of fixing guides disposed at both sidewalls of the air inflow hole of the dust-collecting chamber, for supporting the paper filter mounted in the dust-collecting chamber, and fixing guides disposed at sidewalls of the dust-collecting chamber, opposing to each other and dimensioned and configured to be inserted into guide grooves formed on sidewalls of the reusable filter. Accordingly, both of the paper filter and the reusable filter can be selectively mounted in one vacuum cleaner.

摘要： An upright vacuum cleaner (10) includes an upper housing (12) and a nozzle base (14). An underside (20) of the nozzle base includes a main suction opening (26) formed therein which is in fluid communication with the upper housing via a hose assembly (28). The hose assembly is coupled to the nozzle suction opening via a coupling member (40). The coupling member is substantially cylindrical in shape and is dimensioned to be inserted into a receiving portion (42) of the nozzle base. The coupling member includes a first tapered end (60) dimensioned to be frictionally fit within a suction inlet (44) of the receiving portion. A second end (62) of the coupling member is configured to be supported on a rear wall (50) of the receiving portion. A quarter turn thread segment (72) is disposed on the coupling member's peripheral surface. Upon rotation of the coupling member, the thread segment threadingly cooperates with the rear wall of the receiving portion so that the coupling member is urged into a friction fit seal with inlet opening (44). A finger (70) is provided on the peripheral surface of the coupling member to assist in rotating the coupling member.

摘要： A vacuum cleaner, performing a cleaning operation using a nozzle casing coupled to a suction pipe or using the suction pipe free from the nozzle casing, is disclosed. This vacuum cleaner does not force a user to change an existing cleaning tool with another tool even when it is desired to clean a limited or narrow area that does not allow use of the nozzle casing during the cleaning operation. In this vacuum cleaner, the suction nozzle unit consists of a nozzle casing provided with a suction nozzle for sucking dust-laden air from a surface into the casing. This casing also has a mounting unit provided with a fitting bore communicating with the suction nozzle. A hollow cylindrical suction pipe is removably fitted into the fitting bore, with a dusting brush part formed along the lower edge thereof. A spring-biased locking bolt removably locks the position of the suction pipe within the mounting unit of the nozzle casing. A connection pipe is connected to the extension pipe of a cleaner body, while a connector is hinged to the domed end of the connection pipe so as to be tiltable relative to the connection pipe in a vertical direction. This connector also engages with the suction pipe while allowing the suction pipe to be horizontally rotatable in opposite directions.
