    摘要： A cantilever supported headrest for use in a vehicle seat such as in the center occupant position in a non-first row application of a vehicle including a split seat back. The cantilever supported headrest includes a two-piece headrest support frame having a flange for connection to a square shaped tube end. The other end of the tube has a passage therein for receiving an anti-rotation bracket including an anti-rotation sleeve. A support bracket connecting the tube to a seat back frame includes a pair of aligned passages having the tube passing there through and the tube includes a plurality of notches for engagement with a height adjustment structure.

    摘要： A mechanism for adjusting the height of the back support of a chair comprises a frame, a back support, a first link, and a second link. Two lateral plates extend vertically at the top of the frame. A U bracket is mounted on the rear wall of the back support, whose lateral plates have two symmetrically formed pairs of axle holes. At two ends of the first and the second links, there exist holes for respectively pivotably connected to those pairs of axle and pivot holes by axle pins. The lines defined by two pivot holes and two axle holes take special oblique angles, so that when those links rotate about the top Of the frame, the back support keeps vertical. When the links are placed vertically, the back support supports a sitter's back. When the links are placed horizontally, the back support supports a sitter's waist.

    摘要： The invention provides a back support assembly mounted to the upright posts or canes of a wheelchair. The back support assembly can be adjusted independently with respect to a number of modes of adjustment including seat depth and width, the back height above the seat, and the angle of incline with respect to a plane defined by the wheel chair canes to which the back support is mounted. The back support assembly has a back support that is mounted at four points to cane clamps on each of the canes. A quick release mechanism is provided by a locking pawl on a mounting arm which permits single-handed release and removal of the back support from the mounting hardware while retaining the desired adjustment when the back support is remounted on the wheelchair. The back support assembly is frameless, and eliminates the additional weight that a support frame or carriage would add.

    摘要： A headrest device, intended for a chair, a seat or the like having a substantially vertical backrest, has an attachment part (1), by means of which it is to be attached to the backrest, and a headrest (6), which is mounted on the attachment part (1). The headrest (6) is mounted on the attachment part (1) by means of two link arms (7, 8), which at one end are connected, pivotally about a substantially vertical pivot axis, to the attachment part (1) and which at the other end are connected, hingedly about a substantially vertical axis, to a respective nut element (15, 16). The nut elements (15,16) are threadingly engaged with a substantially horizontal screw (23), which is turnably attached to the headrest (6) and which is arranged, in turning, to synchronously displace the nut elements (15, 16) in opposite directions along the screw (23) and thereby to pivot the link arms (7, 8) about their pivot axes to change the horizontal distance of the headrest (6) from the attachment part (1).

    摘要： A locking/unlocking mechanism for headrest, provided in a headrest holder in which a headrest stay of the headrest is slidably inserted, which comprises: a lock element having a hole; a biasing element; and an unlocking hole formed in the headrest holder. The lock element is movable between a locking position for engagement with a stopper notch formed in the headrest stay and an unlocking position for disengagement from the stopper notch. The lock element is normally biased by the biasing means in a direction to the locking position. When the lock element is set in the unlocking position, an unlocking tool can be inserted in the unlocking hole of headrest holder and engaged in the hole of lock element so as to retain he lock element in the unlocking position, whereby the headrest can be easily removed from the headrest holder.
