    摘要: The disclosure relates to a bunk, in particular for a vehicle cabin. The bunk comprises a base plate, an upper layer, a plurality of supporting members vertically compressible and spaced apart from one another substantially over the whole surface of the bunk, a plurality of pressure sensors which are part of the upper layer and in an adaptable area comprising at least one area of the bunk, a moving mechanism configured to move at least some of the supporting members in the adaptable area parallel to the base plate, and a control unit connected to the pressure sensors and the moving mechanism. The control unit is configured to cause the moving mechanism to move the supporting members in the adaptable area as a function of the current pressure data provided by the pressure sensors, to locally change the density of the supporting members to provide a locally variable bunk firmness.

    摘要: In described examples, a cushioning unit assembler includes first, second, third, and fourth rows of welding heads, a transport, and a feed module. The welding heads have a welding position and a retracted position. A main axis of the welding heads is oriented in a first dimension while in the welding position. The transport is disposed above the rows of welding heads. The transport has a main axis oriented in a second dimension perpendicular to the first dimension. The feed module includes a pocketed spring intake and a pocketed spring outflow. The transport is mechanically coupled to enable the feed module to move in the second dimension along a scope of movement. An exit aperture of the outflow vertically aligns with welding heads of the first row that are in the welding position, and vertically aligns with welding heads of the second row that are in the welding position.

    摘要: A sofa bed includes: a plurality of elastic modules; a body frame having slide rails arranged thereon; and armrest frames disposed at two sides of the body frame along a longitudinal direction of the body frame, respectively. The slide rails on the body frame are configured to enable the plurality of elastic modules to be mounted on the body frame from an outside of the body frame and to slide thereon to predetermined mounting positions, such that the body frame at one side facing the user is provided with the plurality of elastic modules. The angle between the seat and the backrest portion can be locked for improved operation. The elastic modules, which can be easily installed and uninstalled, can improve the comfort of the sofa bed.

The voids have shapes, sizes, and positions that reduce an overall density and weight of the cushioning element without sacrificing its cushioning characteristics. The cushioning element may even be thinner than an existing, conventionally configured cushioning element while providing the same or improved cushioning. In some embodiments, the cushioning element may also include enlarged junctions between interconnected walls or other stiffening features. Methods for designing such cushioning elements are also disclosed.

    摘要: A sectional mattress assembly that is more easily flipped includes a plurality of mattress sections and a plurality of fasteners. Each mattress section has opposed faces and a sidewall and is substantially rectangular. Each fastener is attached to a respective sidewall, with the fasteners being selectively mutually engageable. The plurality of mattress sections is selectively and fixedly positionable in an assembled configuration, wherein the plurality of mattress sections comprises a complete mattress. Each mattress section is configured to be selectively rotated about a horizontal axis to effectively flip the complete mattress. Flipping the mattress sections individually is much easier relative to flipping a prior art, single section, mattress. Additionally, the mattress sections can be selectively repositioned in the complete mattress to optimize comfort and to increase an effective lifetime of the sectional mattress assembly.
