摘要： An all polymeric bed frame including opposing laterally spaced apart, elongated side rails, each of the side rails having first and second ends and comprised of a substantially vertical wall and a horizontal support ledge extending laterally from a lower edge of the substantially vertical wall. The bed frame further includes an end cap positioned at least one of the side rail first or second ends, with end caps adapted for connection to a conventional bed headboard. The end cap is positioned substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal dimension of the side rails. The bed frame further includes at least two spaced apart slats attached to the horizontal support members between said side rail first and second ends. The said side rails and the said two slats are comprised of a polymeric material selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polyethylene copolymers, polypropylene, and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene.

摘要： A bed frame section comprising a pair of telescoping members adapted to be connected or utilized within a bed frame structure. At least one adjustable leg connector is mounted on one of the members. The leg connector includes a generally inverted U-shaped strap that extends over the member and an extension that extends downwardly from the U-shaped strap and includes an opening for receiving an upper portion of a leg. The upper portion of a leg is inserted into the opening of the extension, and the leg and extension are secured together by a bolt and nut assembly. By tightening the bolt the inverted U-shaped strap is closed around the member. When the bolt assembly assumes a loosened state, the inverted U-shaped strap along with the attached leg can be moved along the length of the member.

摘要： A rotary actuator, in particular for adjustable articles of furniture, including beds or mattress supports, for incorporation in a structure for adjustment of an element in it, e.g. adjustment of a backrest section and/or leg-rest section in a bed or mattress support, said actuator comprising an electric motor (20) which is connected by a drive shaft with a transmission (21), which is in turn connected by a power take-off with a planetary gear having a sun wheel (54) connected with the power take-off of the transmission, first and second internally toothed outer rings (49) which are rigidly interconnected and have the same toothing, an internally toothed intermediate ring (50) positioned between the first and second outer rings so that it can rotate about its axis relative to the outer rings, a plurality of planet wheels (51) in engagement with the two outer rings and the intermediate ring and the sun wheel, and wherein the intermediate ring has a mounting bracket (11) for connection with one part of the structure, and wherein the outer rings or their rigid connection has a mounting bracket (12) for connection with the other part of the structure. A strong and comparatively noiseless as well as relatively inexpensive rotary actuator may be provided hereby. It may be constructed with a jamming protection arrangement and emergency lowering function.

Each terminal end of each longitudinal member includes a flange for attachment to the side rails of a conventional bed frame. An extendable leg provides additional support for the center of the slat. The method of use consists of pivoting the longitudinal members of the mattress support to accommodate the particular width of the side rails of the selected bed frame. In one alternate embodiment a pair of v-shaped mattress support slats are connected by a divider for containing a pair of mattresses in side-by-side form.
