A steaming oven having a collector plate disposed in an oven chamber. A collector plate is disposed above a boiling water reservoir in the oven chamber. The collector plate has drain tube inserted into an overfill tube disposed in the reservoir. Waste material from the steam and food droppings is conveyed from the oven chamber via the drain tube and the overfill tube.

The present invention relates to an automatic bread maker for home use, and particularly relates to methods of displaying during the bread making cycle. The automatic bread maker of the present invention comprises: a baking chamber with a heater, a baking pan disposed inside the baking chamber, a kneading blade disposed in the baking pan, a motor which drives the kneading blade, a controller which controls the heater and the motor, an input means for inputting cooking conditions, and a display which displays a time remaining before the time to add additional ingredients and the actual time to add the ingredients. The display shows the remaining time or the actual time to add the ingredients. Therefore, the user can clearly confirm when to add additional ingredients, and can prepare the ingredients accordingly.

The translucent container has on its surface a tapered portion to receive transmitted light totally reflected on the inner surface of the translucent container at an angle smaller than a critical angle.

In a high-temperature, high-pressure treatment method for semiconductor wafer for charging a wafer-like semiconductor material in a pressure vessel, forcing and pressurizing an inert gas such as argon thereto, and raising the temperature by heating by use of an electric resistance type heater, wafers are vertically stacked in the treatment chamber, and the heater is arranged within the treatment chamber to perform the treatment while supplying a heating power by DC to the heater, whereby generation of particles from the heater is suppressed.

In a light radiation annealing apparatus for annealing a semiconductor wafer, an infrared radiation cut filter is inserted between a lamp heater and the semiconductor wafer to cut an infrared component of light emitted from the light source. Thus, the semiconductor wafer is annealed by the light irradiation apparatus to an approximate temperature irrespective of the resistivity of the semiconductor substrate.

A blower assembly for a cooking appliance having an oven cavity adapted to operate in at least cleaning and convection cooking modes includes a blower element mounted for rotation though a shaft member supported by at least one bearing unit. The shaft member is constituted by a tubular section which is secured to the blower element and a solid shaft section which extends within the tubular section. The solid shaft section is formed from a material having a higher thermal conductivity than the tubular section and concentrically arranged relative to the bearing unit. With this arrangement, the shaft section acts as a heat sink for directing heat, to which the blower element is subjected, away from both the tubular section and the bearing unit. The shaft section preferably terminates within the tubular section at a distance spaced from the blower element such that a thermal air gap is defined within the tubular section.

A cook appliance in the form of a range having upper and lower oven is provided with an exhaust system including an exhaust duct for the lower oven which extends through an exhaust duct for the upper oven. Each of the exhaust ducts leads to an exhaust air box which defines an exhaust outlet for the appliance. Preferably, the exhaust duct for the lower oven has associated therewith an extension sleeve which divides the exhaust air box into separate exhaust zones for the upper and lower ovens. Provisions are made to dilute and/or cool exhaust gases flowing through the ducts prior to the exhaust gases existing the appliance.

Disclosed is a convection oven capable of producing a “true” convection cooking environment with a single gas burner disposed underneath the oven bottom in a combustion box. A fan compartment is disposed substantially at the center of the back wall, and defined by a baffle plate with a central fan inlet, a plurality of rearward-extending flanges, and a portion of the oven back wall. A centrifugal fan is disposed within the fan compartment. A flue spout is disposed between the oven cavity and the fan compartment and is adapted to join the combustion box and the oven cavity in fluid communication. Thus the centrifugal fan, located substantially centrally within the fan compartment will draw hot air and flue products upward from the combustion box, through the flue spout, through the central fan inlet, and blow the hot air and flue products into the oven cavity through peripheral fan outlets formed in the fan compartment. The oven may alternatively be operated in a fan-off mode, thus allowing the oven cavity to be heated by the upward flow of air due to natural convection.

A fan assembly for a convection cooking appliance defines a self-contained unit including a housing, an internal fan unit, and a cover. The cover is provided with a centrally located, unobstructed opening for directing air to an inlet for the fan unit. The area of the inlet opening is equal to or larger than the sum of the cross-sectional inlet area of fan unit. During operation, air is drawn into the fan housing through the opening, directed radially outwardly through housing, and lead out through radial, peripherally spaced holes of the housing. The overall construction of the fan assembly eases manufacture and assembly, while defining a high performance convection system by establishing an efficient recirculating airflow, with relatively high air flow, pressure and velocity operating parameters.

A conveyor oven has a modulating gas valve which raises and lowers the thermal output of a burner that heats the oven. A bypass line passes a minimum amount of gas to prevent the burner from completely shutting down during periods while the oven remains above a threshold demand for more heat. Electrical isolation is provided between temperature controlling devices to prevent an electrical feed back which might otherwise prevent a complete shut down of the oven during hazardous conditions.
