Abstract:
The invention relates to the selective control of weeds in crops such as cereal crops, and specifically to the use of a herbicide composition at a locus for growing a cereal crop in order to selectively control a weed at that locus. The herbicide composition used in the invention is as defined herein.
Abstract:
Compositions comprising urea containing fertilizer (e.g., urea fertilizers or urea formaldehyde reaction product fertilizers such as urea-formaldehyde fertilizer or methylene urea fertilizers) and rice hulls, as well as methods of making and using such compositions are provided.
Abstract:
A composition that contains at least citrus oil, pine oil, and salt water is effective in mitigating or eliminating a detrimental microbial, in one example, a gram-negative bacteria disease in plants. This mixture is effective against citrus greening and other gram-negative bacteria diseases. A mixture containing at least the foregoing components can be used as a root and/or a foliar treatment by diluting a concentrated mixture of the composition and spraying it on the leaves of a diseased plant or one that is prone to disease. Similarly, the combined composition can be used as a root drench or in an irrigation system to treat a diseased plant. Additional active components in a composition as disclosed herein may optionally include a surfactant (especially in a foliar application) and a growth stimulant (especially in a root drench or irrigation application).
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a plant growth and development, inductive resistance bio-stimulant formulation for phytopathogen virus disease control and its method of preparation from plant extracts and other natural origin products. The plant growth and development, inductive resistance bio-stimulant formulation for phytopathogen virus disease control is composed of plant extracts and vegetable oils proceeding from Chihuahua semi-desert plant varieties and absolute oils and aromatic plant extracts, and other components. This formulation has been widely proven in field and is useful for phytopathogen virus disease control, preventing and reducing DNA and RNA virus damage of greater impact in vegetable and fruit crop production, ameliorating the number of damaged plants, delaying the appearance of virosis symptoms, significantly decreasing the severity of damage, reducing virus dissemination in plantation, favoring growth continuity in plant and assuring a greater yield under attack conditions.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to non-aqueous solutions of plant growth regulator(s) and polar and/or semi-polar organic solvent(s), methods for making said non-aqueous solution, and methods for improving the growth and crop productivity of plants using said non-aqueous solution.
Abstract:
There is a need for a selective, low-risk herbicide that can be used to control weeds in cereal cultures and turf. The present invention discloses that a bacterial secondary metabolite, thaxtomin and optionally another herbicide is an effective herbicide on broadleaved, sedge and grass weeds. Thaxtomin A and structurally similar compounds can be used as natural herbicides to control the germination and growth of weeds in cereal, turf grass, Timothy grass and pasture grass cultures with no phytotoxicity to these crops. As a natural, non-toxic compound, thaxtomin can be used as a safe alternative for weed control in both conventional and organic farming and gardening systems.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel agrochemical compositions with enhanced bio-efficacy comprising at least one agrochemical active ingredient and an adjuvant composition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an agrochemical mixture for increasing the health of a plant, comprising as active ingredients a herbicidal compound (I) selected from the group consisting of: Benzoic acids, Pyridine carboxylic acids, Quinoline carboxylic acids, and benazolin-ethyl; and a fungicidal compound (II) in synergistically effective amounts. The present invention further relates to a method for improving the health of a plant, wherein the plant, the locus where the plant is growing or is expected to grow or plant propagation material from which the plant grows is treated with an effective amount of a mixture as defined above. In addition, the invention relates to the use of a mixture as defined above for synergistically increasing the health of a plant.
Abstract:
The subject invention provides novel plants that are not only resistant to 2,4-D, but also to a pyridyloxyacetate herbicide. The subject invention also includes plants that produce one or more enzymes of the subject invention “stacked” together with one or more other herbicide resistance genes. The subject invention enables novel combinations of herbicides to be used in new ways. Furthermore, the subject invention provides novel methods of preventing the development of, and controlling, strains of weeds that are resistant to one or more herbicides such as glyphosate. The preferred enzyme and gene for use according to the subject invention are referred to herein as AAD-13 (AryloxyAlkanoate Dioxygenase). This highly novel discovery is the basis of significant herbicide tolerant crop trait and selectable marker opportunities.
