The present invention teaches the composition of terminally modified, amino, polyether, siloxanes, known henceforth as amino siloxane alkokylates, and their use as adjuvants. The amino siloxane alkoxylates of the present invention enhance the efficacy of agrichemicals on plants as compared to conventional TSE's alone. The amino siloxane alkoxylates have at one end, an amine functionality and at the other end, a polyalkyleneoxide functionality.

The invention relates to method for the enhancement of the activity and/or systemicity of fungicidal compositions containing at least one benzoylbenzene of formula I wherein R1 through R7, m and n are as defined in claim 1, with the aid of one or more adjuvants selected from the group consisting of (a) alkylpolyglycosides, alkenyl succinic acid derivatives, dialkyl sulfosuccinates, polyvinylpyrrolidones, perfluoroalkyl acids derivatives, perfluoro(C3-20)alkyl esters of carboxylic acids, and mixtures thereof; (b) alkoxylated alcohols, amines or acids; (c) water-immiscible polar aprotic solvents; and to the use of such a composition as a fungicide.

Disclosed is a composition including a lower alcohol and water in a weight ratio of about 35:65 to 100:0, between at least 0.5% and 8.0% by weight thickener system comprised of at least two emulsifiers, each emulsifier present in at least 0.05% by weight wherein the composition free of auxiliary thickeners has a viscosity of at least 4,000 centipoise at 23° C. and wherein each emulsifier is comprised of at least one hydrophobic group and at least one hydrophilic group. The composition is useful as a presurgical scrub replacement, a lotion or other hand preparation.

A pesticide composition that includes a metabolite from a fungus selected from homeocarpic basidiomycetes and homeocarpic ascomycetes is produced. In one embodiment, the fungus from which the metabolite is derived is one grown under conditions effective to substantially suppress fruiting of the fungus. More particular the pesticide compositions are provided comprising a fungal metabolite derived from a fungus selected from the group Ganoderma spp., Lactiporus spp. Lentinus spp. Morchella spp., and Pleurotus spp. The pesticide composition may be produced by culturing the fungus on a medium containing vegetable oil and a surfactant. Alternatively a filtrate from a culture of the fungus is added to the medium containing vegetable oil and a surfactant, and mixed until pesticidal activity develops.

The present invention provides methods and compositions for inactivating bacteria including bacterial spores using an oil-in-water emulsion are provided. The oil-in-water emulsion comprises an oil, a surfactant and an organic phosphate-based solvent. These methods can be used to inactivate a wide variety of microorganisms including bacteria, bacterial spores, fungi, fungal spores and enveloped viruses.
